Helen Mirren Leaves Her Hand & Footprints At Grauman's Chinese Theatre
Helen Mirren left another mark on Hollywood on Monday when she placed her hand and footprints in the cement outside Grauman's Chinese Theatre.
The Oscar-winning actress joined the other Tinseltown legends who have sank their hands and feet in wet cement outside the Tinseltown landmark and was toasted by fellow Brit Russell Brand - her co-star in upcoming remake "Arthur."
The honor almost cost Mirren a favorite bangle - it slipped off into the cement as she placed her hands in the pavement and posed for photographers. She decided to turn the calamity into a happy accident and made sure the...

Helen Mirren Considered Breaking Her Leg To Get Out Of Nude Scene
Helen Mirren considered breaking her own leg in a desperate effort to get out of her first full-frontal nude film scene.
The Oscar winner admits she was a mess the morning of her big reveal in Ken Russell's 1972 film "The Savage Messiah" and thought about harming herself to force the director to rethink the scene.
She tells WENN, "I played a bra-burning suffragette in the turn of the century. It's Ken Russell so it was pretty well out there.
"The day I had to do that nude scene, where I had to walk completely bollock naked down a flight of stairs, was awful. It was early days and I was s...

Helen Mirren Almost Divorced Her Husband Over 'Love Ranch'
Helen Mirren starred for her director husband Taylor Hackford in Love Ranch. It’s the first time they’ve worked together since White Nights. After 26 years together, taking orders from him gave Dame Helen some dark thoughts.
“He was tough on this shoot,” she said. “He was not a pussycat. He’s strict. He wants more, more, more. Absolutely. He’s tough, my husband, I have to say, and there were days when I was planning how we were going to divide the property.”
She said it with a laugh. The Mirrens/Hackfords are still together, and still on speaking terms doing press rounds for their film. S...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,' 'The Last Airbender,' & More
Adam Sandler’s “Grown Ups” proved to be utterly disappointing from a comedic perspective. This largely unfunny film has me worried that some of my favorite former cast members of “Saturday Night Live” have fallen into the Eddie Murphy syndrome of making bad family comedies. Juvenile humor that lacks imagination and unenthusiastic performances from the actors make “Grown Ups” seem like it was just another paycheck for them. My Grade: C-

Sandra Bullock, Kate Winslet Victims Of 'Best Actress' Oscar Curse? (Video)
The latest news about Sandra Bullock's husband, Jesse James, allegedly cheating on her and the recent revelation that Kate Winslet is splitting from her husband, director Sam Mendes, leads us to believe that perhaps their recent Best Actress Oscar wins have something to do with it.
Yes folks, it appears that an 'Oscar Curse' has been running wild in Hollywood for the last decade. The curse appears to have begun in 2001, when Julia Roberts won the award for her performance in "Erin Brockovich". Shortly after her win (although not married to each other) she dumped boyfriend Benjamin Bratt.

Bai Ling To Play Helen Mirren's Top Hooker
Actress Bai Ling has been added to Helen Mirren's bevy of beauties in a new film about a Las Vegas brothel - even though her audition was anything but normal.
The Wild Wild West star had to be persuaded to turn around after spending much of the Love Ranch screen test with her back to director Taylor Hackford, Mirren's husband.
Bai Ling explains, "He said, 'Turn around,' and I said, 'No, I'm not in a good mood.' I was not trying to please him, but to be myself. Taylor Hackford asked me, 'How do you seduce men?' I said, 'By not seducing them.' I just be there (sic)."

Helen Mirren: 'America Wanted Me To Win The Oscar'
Helen Mirren considers herself an honorary American, because of the support she received in the U.S. ahead of her Oscar win this year. Despite going up against American star Meryl Streep, Mirren is convinced the whole country willed her to win the Best Actress award for her role in The Queen.
Mirren - married to American director Taylor Hackford - says, "In the build up towards the Oscars, I was blown away by the sweetness and generosity of Americans. I'd go through immigration, and they wouldn't recognize me, but they'd look at the passport and say, 'Oh Helen Mirren. Good luck. You'r...

Helen Mirren: 'Acting Is More Exciting Than Marriage'
Helen Mirren waited 11 years to marry her partner because her career was more exciting than any enjoyment she would get from her wedding. The Oscar-winning star, 62, wed director Taylor Hackford in 1997 following an extended courtship, and admits she wasn't in a hurry to get married.
She says, "Maybe a lot of women getting married because are longing to wear that big white dress and the beautiful tiara, look lovely and get their make up done. They crave to be the center of attention, for a day at least. I had the opportunity to experience all that by being an actress. I had beautiful ...
