Eddie Griffin is facing a legal battle over a contentious show in California last year.

Leslie Champlin has filed legal papers against the comedian and the proprietors at Tommy T's Comedy Club in Pleasanton alleging she and her partner Fiona Walshe were publicly humiliated during his show there in July, 2012.

According to TMZ.com, Champlin claims the Undercover Brother star aimed an allegedly homophobic rant at the couple and thrust his crotch in their faces. Walshe threw her drink at the comedian, prompting Griffin to pour water on her.

A woman who threw a drink over Eddie Griffin at a recent comedy gig has threatened to sue the star if he fails to apologize for allegedly insulting her during the show.

Fiona Walshe was in the audience with her female partner, identified only as Leslie, for Griffin's stand-up set at Tommy T's Comedy Club in Pleasanton, California on Friday.

However, the show descended into chaos after Walshe tipped her drink over the funnyman and he reacted by throwing items back at her, before ending the gig early.

Comedian Eddie Griffin is at the center of a new court case accusing him of failing to pay the donation he pledged to a U.S. charity.

In 2007, the actor gave $150,000 to the Jamaica 360 initiative, which sends African-American university graduates to the Caribbean to help further their careers. But now one of the men who went on the trip, Samir Sayegh, has filed suit against the star, alleging Griffin's check bounced.

Comedian Eddie Griffin is firing back at claims he racially abused and assaulted a TV show crew member - insisting the accusation is "absurd." Vince Beane has filed a lawsuit against Griffin, alleging the star attacked him while he was working as a production manager on a pilot show Griffin was shooting.

Comedian Eddie Griffin is facing legal action from a member of a TV crew who claims to have been assaulted by the star. Vince Beane has filed papers at Los Angeles Superior Court accusing the stand-up comedian of attacking him on March 10.

At the time of the alleged incident, Beane was working as a production manager on a pilot TV show starring Griffin, and he claims the star flew into a drunken rage when he discovered he had been booked into a "cheap three star hotel" - allegedly taking his anger out on Beane.

A stand-up routine by comedian Eddie Griffin was cut short in Miami, Florida on Friday night when the Undercover Brother star showered the audience with expletives and repeatedly used the word "n**ger".

Griffin was stopped midway through his show at a Black Enterprise magazine event when organizers took offense to his language. Publication spokesman Andrew Wadium says, "We believe that ending the performance was the appropriate action."

John Goodman will voice the role of larger-than-life folk hero Paul Bunyan in a new animated movie. The star will give the fabled Minnesota giant lumberjack a voice in "Bunyan & Babe," while funnyman Eddie Griffin will play Bunyan's blue ox, Babe.

It's not Goodman's first animated role - his voice also appears in Monsters Inc. and Jerry Seinfeld's new film Bee Movie.
