Born: December 18, 1964

With an impossibly cool demeanor and a starkly handsome visage, U.K. actor Robson Green embarked on a formidable dramatic career in his early twenties. He subsequently became a sensation in his native Britain, with a marked emphasis on television roles, and amassed well over 200 appearances within 20 years.

Green launched his entertainment career on a low-key basis, as one of the presenters in the 1984 employment documentary Who Needs a Union? This marked the actor's last nonfiction work for some time, however, and in successive years, he became a veritable staple on such English fiction series as Casualty, Soldier_Soldier, Reckless, and Touching_Evil. In 2002, Green gained additional notoriety as Liam Marple -- a dirt-digging tabloid journalist who sets out to expose skeletons in the closets of female prime minister Laura Bowden (Caroline_Goodall), but ultimately falls in love with her, in the popular British telemovie Me & Mrs. Jones. Green continued his explorations of domestic discord with the visceral one-hour dramatic feature Beaten (2005) and the same year's shocking miniseries Like_Father,_Like_Son. In the latter, Green portrayed a young man engaged to be married but plagued with problems from his intended's psychopathic ex-husband and equally malevolent teenage son. Nathan Southern, Rovi
