Brian Grazer Producing Biopic About Legendary Soccer Star Pele

Hollywood producer Brian Grazer is set to bring the life of legendary Brazilian soccer star Pele to the big screen in a new film about the life of the sport's most iconic player.

Grazer's Imagine Entertainment Company will produce the coming-of-age film, which "will trace Pelé’s childhood until he won his first World Cup in Sweden at the age of 17," according to the New York Post's Page Six.

The A Beautiful Mind producer will be accompanied by the New York Cosmos soccer legend, 72, to this year's Cannes Film Festival later this month to promote the film, which is planned for a 2014 releas...

Sacha Baron Cohen has been given permission to terrorize Oscar nominees and presenters as The Dictator on the red carpet at the Academy Awards on Sunday.

Reports suggested the zany British comic had been banned from the big night after revealing he planned to arrive in character as his latest comedy creation, but Oscar bosses insisted they simply wanted to know what he had planned before agreeing to let him walk the red carpet.

It's still not clear exactly what Cohen will do, but Oscars producer Brian Grazer appears to be more than happy to let him turn up as the bearded tyrant.

Hollywood producer Brian Grazer has split from his concert pianist fiancée, according to a report.

Grazer, who recently replaced pal Brett Ratner as the producer of next year's Academy Awards, proposed to Chau-Giang Thi Nguyen in April, but the couple has recently called it quits.

And, according to the New York Post, the A Beautiful Mind producer has since moved on from the failed romance with Keli Lee, an executive at Disney, after taking her as his date to the premiere of his film Tower Heist back in October.

Movie mogul Brian Grazer is to replace Brett Ratner as the co-producer of the 84th annual Oscars.

Ratner resigned on Tuesday over a homophobic slur he used during a movie question-and-answer session with fans on Friday and his pal Eddie Murphy stepped down as host on Wednesday.

Officials at the Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences aren't wasting any time in naming their new man - Grazer's appointment was released on Wednesday afternoon.
