No Butts About It: 30 Celebrity Smokers

October 9th, 2014 2:07pm EDT
No Butts About It: 30 Celebrity Smokers
Everyone knows smoking is bad, but many celebrities can't help lighting up. Maybe they have a tough time quitting the habit, or perhaps they smoke to keep off the weight. A cheeseburger is worse than a cigarette, right?

It may surprise you that some of these stars smoke - others you won't find so shocking.

Keira Knightley is a smoker, and it's probably part of the reason why she's so thin. She's also been accused of having an eating disorder. Early in 2014 she admitted that her grandmother and great-grandmother had anorexia but denied suffering from the disease herself. Either way, both h...

The Biggest Losers: Celebrities Who Have Lost Over 50 Pounds!
Singer Jordin Sparks made a drastic lifestyle change to drop more than 50 pounds over two and a half years. In 2011 she told People magazine what her "secret" was: "It was just a shift in my thinking. Instead of talking about being more active, I just got up and did it. There's no secret. Anybody can do it."

The former "American Idol" star told Life & Style magazine that the extra weight was like carrying a 5-year-old child.

"By March of last year [2012], I lost 50. And then I maintained it for the rest of the year. I was in the gym all day long. When I got up I would hike, then I would g...

Clooney's 'Monuments Men' Trailer Promises A Unique And New WWII Adventure

August 8th, 2013 10:00pm EDT
Monuments Men
George Clooney has a surprising knack when it comes to directoral talent. After his deep, compelling political thriller 'The Ides of March' we have been given the first trailer for his upcoming work, 'Monuments Men' a new twist on an age old genre.

World War II has no shortage of coverage on TV or in the theater. Saving Private Ryan redefined what a war movie should be, while Band of Brothers dove into the deeper psychology of how war affects men. Monuments Men is neither of those, both tragically, and thankfully. Check out the trailer below to see what we mean:

It tells the true story ...

Sandra Bullock's & Other Celeb New Orleans Homes Prepped For Tropical Storm Isaac

Sandra Bullock New Orleans home
Tropical Storm Isaac is set to make landfall in the Gulf Coast on Tuesday, and it appears that the stars who own homes in New Orleans, Louisiana, aren't taking any chances. Isaac has been following the same track as Hurricane Katrina nearly seven years ago and is expected to become a hurricane before hitting land tomorrow.

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Sandra Bullock and John Goodman are among those who are closing the shutters and battening down the hatches at their pricy New Orleans digs. Of course, they likely have employees do it for them rather than themselves.

“I don’t want to raise expectations, but this is going to be the greatest second half of any television show in the history of the world.” He may be joking, but Community star Joel McHale’s upbeat attitude perfectly echoes the feelings of the legions of fans who have been anxiously awaiting the return of TV’s most inventive and creative comedy. After being put on hiatus by NBC back in November (never a good sign for a show which has struggled to increase viewership), Community returned last night with a long-awaited new episode called “Urban Matrimony and the Sandwich Arts.”

Extremely Loud Incredibly Close
Two Jews on Film - By Joan Alperin Schwartz: 9/11... All you have to do is say that date and most people will have a reaction, usually an emotional reaction. For me, that emotion is one of sadness for the senseless loss that so many people experienced.

And now, ten years after that infamous day, Stephen Daltry has directed a beautiful, moving film about loss.

'Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close' stars first time actor, Thomas Horn. He plays the young boy Oskar, trying to come to terms with his father's death on 9/11.

What's amazing about Thomas, is that just like the character Oskar, he ...

McHale returns for Season Three as Jeff Winger, the cocky ex-lawyer who runs a small, ragtag study group at Greendale Community College. Goodman will appear as Vi...
