Who Is 'The Good Wife's' Matthew Goode?

March 25th, 2014 12:10pm EDT
Who Is 'The Good Wife's' Matthew Goode?
You can't really replace Josh Charles, considering that he's one of the best actors of all-time. But as The Good Wife moves on from Will Gardner, if we've indeed already met his replacement, he's a pretty good catch, too. Matthew Goode is a damn fine actor in his own right, and if you don't already know him, well, that's what we're here for.

Prior to his playing top state's attorney Finn Polmar in Sunday's pivotal episode, you probably recognized Goode as Mandy Moore's love interest in the rom-com Chasing Liberty a decade ago. Or a little closer to the present tense, he was Amy Adams' love...

Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling Among Contenders To Play Batman

August 6th, 2013 6:07pm EDT
Josh Brolin
Zack Snyder's reported list of actors in the running to play Batman in an upcoming crossover with Superman includes some intriguing selections.

At the top of the list, as far as name recognition, are Josh Brolin and Ryan Gosling. Both have worked with Warner Bros. on Gangster Squad. Broslin is also working with the studio for Robert Rodriguez's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. Gosling, on the other hand, seems to be attached to just about everything these days.

However, the trend for DC Comics superhero movies is hiring lesser-known names so that their star power doesn't overshadow the chara...

Matthew Goode Slams 'Leap Year'

February 24th, 2010 11:53am EST
Matthew Goode
Matthew Goode has slammed his new movie Leap Year as "turgid" - insisting the Amy Adams movie will be labeled "the worst film of 2010." The Brit plays the Enchanted star's love interest in the new romantic comedy, which tells the story of an American woman traveling to Dublin, Ireland to propose to her boyfriend on February 29th during a leap year.

However, Goode insists he only took the role because the shoot was filming on location close to his home in Britain.

He says, "It's turgid. I just know that there are a lot of people who will say it is the worst film of 2010. (The location) wa...

Daybreakers
A belated Happy New Year to all. I hope you each had happy holidays and got a chance to view all of the movies you wanted to see.

I haven't seen James Cameron's "Avatar" yet, although it's the top movie on my list right now. I've heard the film showcases some impressive visual effects, but that its dialogue and character development are not as strong. Regardless, I'm still anxious to see for myself.

2010 starts out with the release of "Daybreakers," "Youth in Revolt," "Leap Year," "Crazy on the Outside," "Wonderful World," and "Bitch Slap."

DAYBREAKERS

By 2017 a plague has ...

Review: A Fan's Reaction to 'Watchmen'

March 5th, 2009 11:09am EST
Watchmen
I grew up in a comic book store, so most of my days after school were spent sitting in a beanbag chair reading graphic novels. It has been a fairly exciting few years for comic fans with the emergence of the mainstream embracing what used to be considered a nerdy habit. With big blockbuster movies like Spider-Man, X-Men, and The Dark Knight taking over the Entertainment industry, it is easier to forgive bad comic movies like Catwoman or Daredevil because at least they're getting these stories out there. At least people are starting to know and love what we've known and loved for decades. Ye...
