Review: Going Rogue To Expose Corruption In This 'Safe House'
If it stars Denzel Washington, you know it’s good! Seriously, what film starring this man can anyone say “sucked?” Yes, not all are blockbusters, but if there’s one thing all of his films have is swag, attitude and characters that engrave themselves deep within our cranium.
Safe House is another one on Denzel’s resume with a dark twist, along side Ryan Reynolds. Together, the duo stand on opposite ends of government’s spectrum and unveil harsh events full of lies, truth, guns, global chase and blood. Lots of blood!

Two Jews on Film - Joan Alperin Schwartz: Rogue agent Tobin Frost (Denzel Washington) has been off the grid for the past ten years and he's been on the CIA'S most wanted list for the last decade.
CIA agent, Matt Weston (Ryan Reynolds) has been posted to a remote, empty Safe House in Cape Town, South Africa for over a year. He's job is to make sure the safe house is always ready for 'visitors'. Weston is bored and longs for action.
Out of the blue, Tobin turns himself in, he's transported to Weston's safe house and the novice operative gets his wish... and then some.

2009 Primetime Emmy Awards Mega Diary
Ah, the Emmys. The one Awards show on TV that has a nonchalant attitude toward its honorees and the medium it seeks to honor. A ceremony that seeks to put on a funny show, not blow smoke up the behinds of the many winners mostly seem like they'd rather not be there.
Sure, the last couple years were awful, but this year we have the inimitable Neil Patrick Harris at the helm, and with the possibility that this may be Emmy's final year on broadcast television, they're certain to pull out all the stops and ratchet up the funny.
And with that stellar introduction, here is the 2009 Primet...

The 'That Guy' Encyclopedia, Letters A Through K
Hey, isn’t that...? You know, that guy. The guy that always plays someone in the military. He was in, uh, Syriana, The Kingdom... Oh yeah! He was the father of the emo kid in American Beauty!

After reading this you can impress your friends! Win the movie game (the one where you name an actor, someone names a film he or she was in, next player names another actor in that film, etc....

'In Bruges:' A Dark Comedy Full Of Twists
"In Bruges" is a movie that is good but not great. That might be the most vague and un-insightful explanation for a film, but trust me it fits and I'll explain why.
The movie works around a main dilemma: two big city hit men are sent to hide out from a hit gone wrong in the boring tourist trap that is Bruges, Belgium. Colin Farrell plays Ray, a young troublemaker who hates the city, tourists and pretty much everything about what is going on in his life. Brendan Gleeson plays Ken, the older, wiser, calmer hit man who is enjoying the city and in the process makes the trip worse for Ra...
