Multi-talented actor Ron Glass was born on July 10, 1945, in Evansville, Indiana. Ron graduated from Saint Francis Seminary in 1964 and attended the University of Evansville, where he earned degrees in Drama and Literature. Ron made his stage debut at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis and made guest appearances in the television shows "Sanford and Son" and "Good Times." In 1975 he landed the role that made him famous as the stylish and charming Det. Ron Harris in the long-running TV sitcom "Barney Miller." He also starred in the television shows "The New Odd Couple," "227" and "Amen" and in the films "Deep Space," "Houseguest" and "Serenity." Ron is a member of Alpha Psi Omega Fraternity Inc. and is the chairman of the board at the Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center.
