Monty Python's Eric Idle Ignores Critics, Says Reunion Show Had
The Monty Python comedy troupe reunited for the first time in more than 30 years last night, performing a comeback gig at the O2 Arena in London. Critics slammed the highly anticipated production, claiming the group relied too much on old jokes, overdone routines, and too-familiar sketches.

The show features some of their most popular skits from "Monty Python's Flying Circus," including fan favorites - the dead parrot, Spam, "The Lumberjack Song" and the Spanish Inquisition.

Comedian Eric Idle was seemingly unaffected by the negative reviews and instead was pleased with the fans' response...

The often-feuding members of the Monty Python comedy troupe are setting their differences aside for a new live action movie.

Michael Palin, John Cleese, Terry Jones and Terry Gilliam have already signed on for the science-fiction comedy, which Jones will direct - and project insiders claim producers are close to landing Eric Idle as well.

Vanessa Paradis
Marie Claire UK cover girl Vanessa Paradis talks about her relationship with Johnny Depp in the new issue of the UK version of Marie Claire magazine.

Do you ever ask Johnny's advice about a script?
When it comes to planning, yes. Otherwise, very rarely. In fact, we don't really speak a lot about work when we're together. We just try to organise ourselves so we can spend as much time as possible together.

Can I ask you about Johnny Depp? How do you keep the passion alive when you've been with the same man for 12 years?
First of all, you have to be lucky enough to find the right person. Nex...

May 15th, 2010 10:42am EDT
Heath Ledger
Heath Ledger's mother and sister are still so distraught by the loss of the star, they've been unable to watch any of his films since his death in 2008.

The "Brokeback Mountain" actor was found dead in his New York apartment in January, 2008, after suffering an accidental overdose.

His mother Sally Bell and sister Kate celebrated his memory at the Australians in Film Breakthrough Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, when they watched as actor Colin Farrell presented newcomer Bella Heathcote with the second Heath Ledger Scholarship, a fund established in his honor.

But the actor's relatives...

Now that it's the year 2010, a decade into the new era, the next big year people suspect the world could end is 2012, in accordance with the termination of the Mayan calendar. In 2009, people flocked to see "2012" a Roland Emmerich film fictionally portraying the same prophesied destruction the year is s...

Review: 'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus' Is A Storyteller's Tale For Gilliam, Ledger Fans

December 28th, 2009 1:26pm EST
The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus
Terry Gilliam is an interesting Hollywood director in that he's bizarre and not mainstream, and yet his films are so interesting and bizarre that they get critical acclaim and great notice. His started with the "Monty Python" gang and moved on to hits like "Brazil," "Time Bandits," "12 Monkeys," and "Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas." He had his fair share of failures too with the odd "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" and the lukewarm critical reactions to his film "The Brothers Grimm." It was always an uphill battle for Gilliam since his movies are visually intriguing, mind bending, and n...

Heath Ledger Lives On This Christmas
Heath Ledger passed away midway through filming the movie The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus. After regrouping, director Terry Gilliam figured out a way to finish the film, so you'll get to see Ledger one more time when the film opens. In the fantasy film, actors Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell play the "Imaginarium" incarnations of Ledger's character.

"Number one, I chose people who were close friends of Heath's so they know Heath," Gilliam said. "So that's to start. Then we gave them all DVDs of what we'd been able to assemble of what Heath had done so they can see what he was do...
