Ricky Gervais gets creamed on U.K. TV show

May 14th, 2013 3:11am EDT
Ricky Gervais
British comedian Ricky Gervais indulged in a spot of slapstick comedy on U.K. TV on Monday night (13May13) when he became embroiled in a playful food fight with the programme's host.

The Office star appeared on the BBC's The One Show and towards the end of the segment he tried his hand at different cream pie throwing techniques - before targeting presenter Matt Baker with his final throw.

Baker encouraged the funnyman to make good use of his final pie, prompting Gervais to quickly push the baked good into the host's face.

However, the comedian sportingly allowed Baker to exact his reven...

I'm of two minds when it comes to An Idiot Abroad, which is another series from the minds of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. The simple description of the premise is that they send their friend Karl Pilkington on a trip around the world...which they generally make difficult for him.

2012 Golden Globes fashion
The Golden Globes are the first big awards show of the season, and the stars came out in colorful ensembles to attend one of Hollywood's most prestigious events leading up to the Academy Awards.

There were very few fashion missteps at this year's event. "Homeland" actress Morena Baccarin wore a daring black dress that showed quite a bit of cleavage (is that appropriate?), while "Ringer" star Sarah Michelle Gellar took a chance with a blue and white tie-dyed gown (too bohemian?).

There wasn't a lot of flash on the red carpet. Few stars wore sequins (Laura Dern, Madonna, Diane Lane and did)...
