'Alcatraz' Kaput!

May 10th, 2012 8:36am EDT
Alcatraz
J.J. Abrams' prison drama Alcatraz has been axed after just one season on air.

The show, starring Sam Neill and Lost's Jorge Garcia, was based around San Francisco's legendary Alcatraz prison and focused on the mysterious reappearance of prisoners and guards who vanished from the island jail in the 1960s.

Nevertheless, fans won't get to see a second season after bosses at the Fox network pulled the plug on the show this week.

Fox chiefs have also axed Bones spin-off The Finder, but they renewed Kiefer Sutherland's TV drama Touch for a second series, according to EW.com.

LOST
The final scene shown during ABC's Sunday night broadcast of the "LOST" series finale was added to the show by the network - not executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse - according to a report on Entertainment Weekly.com.

The last images of Oceanic Flight 815 wreckage strewn across the beach with only the soothing sound of crashing waves in the distance quickly became one of the show's biggest mysteries.

But a spokesman for ABC told the L.A. Times, "The images shown during the end credits of the 'Lost' finale, which included shots of Oceanic 815 on a deserted beach, were not p...

'LOST' Recap - 'Everybody Loves Hugo'

One of the best parts about a show like "LOST" is that even after years, fans still remember the details. For example, it may have been the end of season two when Michael shot Libby and Ana Lucia, but in season six this horrific act of betrayal is still very fresh to LOST fans. Michael tried to seek redemption in season four by going on the freighter back to the Island, and once he accomplished what he was meant to, he died in the freighter explosion. Now it seems like Michael didn't really get the redemption he's looking for, because he's still stuck on that damn Island ... this time as a ...

There are some fans of LOST that may be complaining that the show has still not provided their hundreds of expected answers, and that they can't really understand where the show is going. Yet no one can deny that the show is exceptional when it comes to character development, and that Michael Emerson is one of the best actors on television. The fact that he took Ben Linus from what was supposed to be a guest spot and turned him into one of the most complicated characters ever seen is simply stunning. Ben is a villain, he's a murderer, he's a manipulator, and yet he's charismatic and fascina...
