David Gallagher was born Feb. 9, 1985, in College Point, New York. He got his first job at age two doing a print ad and later did commercials for Walt Disney World, Burger King, Panasonic, and Betty Crocker. When he was eight, Gallagher made his film debut with a lead role in 1993's Look Who's Talking Now. He followed this up with Phenomenon in 1996. That same year, he landed the role of Simon Camden on 7th Heaven. In 2003, Gallagher received a Teen Choice Award for his work on the show.

The actor has also appeared in TV films such as The New Adventures of Spin & Marty, Angels in the Endzone, Summer of Fear, Bermuda Triangle, and Kart Racer. He has been nominated three times for "The Hollywood Reporter's Young Star Award" in the category of Best Performance. He won the award in 1998 for his work on 7th Heaven.

Gallagher is currently attending the University of Southern California's School of Cinema-Television. In addition to acting, he would like to produce and direct and is working on a short film.
