Two Jews' Review 'In Time' - Both Agree This Sci-Fi Thriller Is A Waste Of Time (Video)
Two Jews On Flim - By Joan Alperin-Schwartz: 'In Time' is a Sci-Fi thriller written, directed and produced by Andrew Niccol (Gattaca), maybe that's the problem. You know what they say about wearing too many hats.
Okay, when the film begins, we discover that we are now in the future....A future where you stop aging at 25 (guess that would put a big dent in the Botox industry). Your mother, sister, grandmother, grandfather etc, all look 25 so it's hard to tell if you're hitting on someone's mother or daughter. You get the idea.
After 25, you get one free year to live. After that, you have t...

Q&A: 'The Big Bang Theory's' Mayim Bialik
You know how there's that person you just know is smarter than you? Mayim Bialik is one of those people.
Yes, the actress plays a scientist on CBS' hit comedy The Big Bang Theory, but art imitates life: she also has her own Ph.D. in Neuroscience from UCLA, and oh yeah, she's written a book, too. I'll admit that during our first interview last year I was actually a little intimidated. Mayim recently sat down with me again to discuss what's happening in season five of Big Bang and how she's flexing her real-life smarts.
We literally just started season five of Big Bang Theory. Can you ta...

The CBS "nerd-com" The Big Bang Theory clued the viewer in on what to expect right from the get-go by naming its two main characters "Sheldon" and "Leonard" (though all resemblance to the famous gangster actor-turned-TV producer ended right there!) They are both brilliant physicists, living together in a technology-cluttered apartment, and spend their free time with a circle of fellow geeks from Cal Tech.
And, need we add, Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) are despite their hyper-intelligence hopelessly "backward" on a social level; after all, it isn't easy to pick up...

British Invasion: UK Shows Coming To America
With the American version of "The Office" still leading NBC's fall line-up, remakes of successful British shows have become a hot commodity. Picking up on this success, several networks have snatched up the rights to remake some of the most popular British shows. It's a process that has obviously worked in the past, at least in the world of reality television. "Dancing with the Stars," "Big Brother," and "Celebrity Fit Club" all had their start in the Fallen Empire, but remakes of drama and comedy haven't been nearly as successful. For better of for worse, here's a list of shows that will i...
