Born Oct. 27, 1982 in Salt Lake City, UT, Patrick Raymond Fugit began acting at the age of 11 through a summer theater program. Inspired to pursue acting professionally, he landed a pair of guest spots on the inspirational drama "Touched by an Angel" (CBS, 1994-2003) and a small role in the schlocky made-for-TV movie "Legion of Fire: Killer Ants!" (Fox, 1998). His career received a massive boost when he was plucked from relative obscurity to star as William Miller, a character based on a teenage Cameron Crowe in the filmmaker's rapturously received love letter to rock-n-roll, "Almost Famous" (2000).
