American director/ screenwriter/ producer Bart Freundlich was born on January 17, 1970, and grew up in Manhattan. He directed his first film "A Dog Race In Alaska" in 1993 and later went on to direct "Hired Hands," "World Traveler" and "The Myth of Fingerprints" when he was 26 years old. Bart graduated New York University Tisch School of Arts and married actress Julianne Moore on Aug. 23, 2003, and they have a son Cal and a daughter Liv.
