A new TV spot for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was released by Sony on Thursday, teasing that something big is about to happen in the new full-length trailer that's set to run during the Super Bowl this Sunday.

The teaser reveals a lot of what was already shown in the first full trailer, released at the beginning of December, but this 30-second preview ends with a huge cliffhanger: our hero catching girlfriend Gwen Stacy (Emma Stone) in mid-air and then the two crashing together through the glass roof of a skyscraper.

The movie adaptation of stage musical Annie has been given a release boost - it will open in America five days before Christmas Day, 2014.

The film, starring Jamie Foxx, Quvenzhane Wallis, Rose Byrne, Bobby Cannavale and Cameron Diaz, was scheduled to hit the big screen on 25 December, 2014, but studio executives have moved the release date up to avoid clashing with other 2015 Oscar hopefuls, like Disney musical Into the Woods and Night at the Museum 3.
