Ben Foster is tipped to play disgraced bicyclist Lance Armstrong in an upcoming biopic. He has appeared in films such as "Alpha Dog," "X-Men: The Last Stand," "3:10 to Yuma" and "The Messenger."

Stephen Frears ("The Queen") will direct the Working Title film, which will center on Armstrong's battle with testicular cancer in the mid-1990s and his use of performance-enhancing drugs.

The seven-time Tour De France champion finally admitted to Oprah Winfrey earlier this year that he used banned substances throughout his career after years of denying doping allegations.

The cyclist was strippe...

May 7th, 2013 6:37pm EDT
Ben Foster and Robin Wright
Robin Wright has finally gone public with her romance with Ben Foster, following almost a year of rumors and reports.

Sean Penn's ex-wife, 47, was first reported to be dating Foster, 32, in February 2012. At the time, the two were filming Rampart. The couple kept their romance under wraps until they arrived to the Lucille Lortal Awards in New York together.

Once all the flash bulbs went off, however, the couple made a hasty exit. A source tells the New York Post's Page Six column, "They actually ran off the carpet because all the camera flashes overwhelmed them."

Robin Wright and Sean Pe...

In the pictures, Wright is seen touching Foster's face, while the actor kisses the Forrest Gump star's hand in another.

Ben Foster Lived On The Streets Of L.A. To Prepare For 'Rampart'

January 14th, 2012 8:30am EST
Ben Foster
Ben Foster slept rough on the mean streets of Los Angeles for two weeks to get into character as a homeless police informer for new film "Rampart."

The super-serious actor spent months growing a scraggly beard and picked up a wardrobe from a charity store before taking his cardboard sleeping mat to L.A.'s notorious Skid Row.

He tells WENN, "Just living in those clothes helped me, getting my stink in it. It was a great exercise in empathy and being present because everyone is reduced to, 'Well, there's no roof here,' if you're not getting into the shelter that night and it's raining. I was...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'The Rite,' 'The Mechanic,' & More

January 24th, 2011 10:10am EST
The Rite
Last week I did not have an opportunity to watch any additional Oscar contenders from 2010, but this week I have “Winter's Bone” and “The Town” arriving from Netflix so I'm excited to catch them. Aside from those, the only other major films from 2010 that I still need to see are “The Fighter” and “The King's Speech.”

Arriving in theaters this week are the Jason Statham hitman flick “The Mechanic,” the Anthony Hopkins exorcism tale “The Rite,” the Javier Bardem Spanish drama “Biutiful,” and the Latin romantic comedy “From Prada to Nada.” I will be attending screenings of “The Rite” and “T...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - '2012,' 'Pirate Radio' & More

November 9th, 2009 9:52am EST
2012
At some point this week I hope to catch the wacky comedy "The Men Who Stare at Goats." While I have read some bad reviews of the film, I believe my tendency to disagree with the mainstream, could be a wild card for my own appraisal of the movie.

I'm having difficulty believing the collection of George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges could contribute to a horrific film considering I how much appreciate their abilities on screen.

Roland Emmerich destroys the world yet another time this week with his apocalyptic tale "2012." The quirky animation of Wes Anders...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Surrogates,' 'Pandorum' & More

September 22nd, 2009 10:27am EDT
Surrogates
I'm curious to see the reception of "Surrogates," at the box office this week. People I have spoken with seem to have mixed opinions about whether they think the movie will be enjoyable or not.

Their interest level in the movie seems to be linked to which trailer they have seen. Trailer 1 appears to be rather bland and doesn't do much to entice the viewer. Folks who have seen Trailer 2 however, agree that it does a better job of selling the concepts present in the film, as well as emphasizing Bruce Willis' struggle without his surrogate.

In addition to the sci-fi thriller "Surr...

Shawn Pyfrom is amazingly astute and mature for a man of his age. At only 21, he already has some fine ideas and ideals. Starpulse talked to him recently about his past work, his current role as the gay Andrew Van De Camp in "Desperate Housewives," his upcoming movie, and more.

We heard that you just turned 21 in August. Happy Birthday!

Thank you. It's very exciting to be 21.

Why?

I would be lying if I said that I hadn't had a few drinks before then, but every time you go to a place that features alcohol, like a bar, club, or restaurant, it's nice to be able to get a dri...
