Will Forte News
There's a 'MacGruber' Sequel In The Works? Seriously?!
MacGruber! Making lifesaving inventions out of household materials! MacGruber! His movie kinda bombed but they might make another one! MacGruber! Will Forte must be strapped for cash!
In the pantheon of totally unlikely sequels to movies that tanked, "MacGruber" has to be one of the unlikeliest, but when Screen Crush talked to the film's director/co-writer Jorma Taccone, he claimed Forte's eponymous bomb deactivator just might be clever enough to pull it off.
"It would be me, Will and John [Solomon] writing it again," Taccone said. "Every time I hang out with Will, we talk about all our c...

'Up All Night' Recap: 'New Boss'
After a string of really well-written episodes (including last week’s “First Birthday,” which must have been so good that I forgot to recap it), “Up All Night” hit a snag with last night’s “New Boss.” While there were some funny moments – mostly thanks to Will Arnett’s awkward attempts at machismo – the story was all over the place and never managed to really go anywhere.
The first red flag signaling that this is a poorly scripted episode is the announcement that Kevin (Jason Lee) moved to Idaho for a new job – an important tidbit that was revealed so matter-of-factly that I started to w...

Check Out 'A Good Old Fashioned Orgy,' Now On DVD & Digital
An arrested adolescent hell-bent on good times decides to throw a different sort of bash in the comedy "A Good Old Fashioned Orgy."
Eric (Jason Sudeikis) is in his early 30s, but he hasn't changed much since his high school days - the guy lives to party with a handful of his old friends, and the crazier the get-together, the better. Every summer, Eric throws an epic-scale theme party at his parents' home in the Hamptons, as he and his pals get crazy at the "White Trash Bash" or a "Star Wars vs. Star Trek" throwdown. However, this grand tradition is about to end, as Eric's dad (Don Johnson...

'Up All Night' Recap: 'Working Late and Working It'
When we last caught up with the Brinkleys, they were preoccupied with maintaining their coolness. On this week's "Up All Night," Chris starts to wonder where sexy went and tries to persuade Reagan to bring it back.
The latest episode centers around what seems to be an indisputable fact of family life: babies are tiny, evil sex vampires. Just like cats steal your breath, babies sap your will to do the nasty. Chris begins to realize this when he makes Reagan a romantic dinner (gnocchi - nature's most powerful aphrodisiac), which fails to get her in the mood but succeeds in getting her to...

Will Forte Joins The 'Neighborhood Watch'
Yeah, we'd trust the guy who played MacGruber to look after our neighborhood.
Will Forte, who made evil tremble as an ex-special forces operative in last year's "MacGruber," will be keeping suburbia safe from harm in "Neighborhood Watch," according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Forte joins Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill in the story about a group of neighbors that uncovers a plan to destroy the world. The rest of the "Watch" includes Richard Ayoade (who recently signed on for the role that Chris Tucker had been circling) and Rosemary DeWitt.
Even though "MacGruber" failed to seiz...

Can 'MacGruber' Break The SNL Movie Curse?
Of all the recent "Saturday Night Live" recurring characters, MacGruber seemed the least likely to land his own feature film. After all, the skit spends about 15 seconds with the action hero before he's blown to smithereens.
However, star Will Forte imagined greater things for our mulleted man of action, and he convinced Lorne Michaels and the powers that be to turn the skit into a 90-minute film that opens Friday.
"MacGruber" is getting solid buzz on the eve of its opening, but has to overcome the stigma that SNL films can't cut it both from a quality and financial standpoint. There ha...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'Shrek Forever After,' 'MacGruber,' & More
A lot of other critics have blasted Ridley Scott’s “Robin Hood,” but honestly I found it to be pretty interesting. It is slightly long winded and its action scenes are a bit frenetic, however it dares to be different in how it approaches the Robin Hood tale which I appreciate.
As a narrative "Robin Hood" operates like a prequel, covering the events leading to Robin’s branding as an outlaw. This Robin is serious, more like a solider commanding his friends in battle, than the lighthearted rogue whose archery and skills with a sword are so well known in the legend. While he believes in eq...

Celebrities Who Should Host Saturday Night Live
With such an iconic sketch comedy show like Saturday Night Live, it can be very disappointing when the host fails to excite us. Some celebrity hosts surprise the audience and are actually funny like Brian Williams
, whereas some bomb terribly like January Jones, Michael Phelps and Paris Hilton. Most likely if Lorne Michaels invites the celebrity to host again, it's a good sign like Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, John Goodman, Tom Hanks, Christopher Walken, Drew Barrymore, and Jon Bon Jovi. A few other phenomenal past hosts were Justin Timberlake, Steve Carell, Tina Fey, Jon Hamm, Britney S...

Check Out The Hilarious Red Band Trailer For 'MacGruber'; Will Forte's 'SNL' Character Hits The Big Screen April 23
Only one American hero has earned the rank of Green Beret, Navy SEAL and Army Ranger. Just one operative has been awarded 16 purple hearts, 3 Congressional Medals of Honor and 7 presidential medals of bravery. And only one guy is man enough to still sport a mullet. In 2010, Will Forte brings Saturday Night Live's clueless soldier of fortune to the big screen in the action comedy MacGruber.
In the 10 years since his fiancée was killed, special op MacGruber has sworn off a life of fighting crime with his bare hands. But when he learns that his country needs him to find a nuclear warhea...

Kenan Thompson Talks 'Sit Down, Shut Up' , 'SNL' And More
Sit Down, Shut Up may be one of the more brilliant shows to premiere this television season. Produced by the creators of, and starring half the cast of, Arrested Development, the show already has comedy street cred. (Unfortunately, just like it's highly acclaimed predecessor, Sit down, Shut Up may be in trouble. It's hard to ignore the show's being moved 90 minutes earlier to the Sunday night at 7 pm, "I know you're watching 60 Minutes," time slot. Hopefully, Fox will not make the same mistake twice.) Saturday Night Live's Kenan Thompson, who provides the voice for the school's principal, S...

"It's a strange transformation that he goes through when he puts a moustache on, it's very funny. Seriously, It's like automatic douchebag. It's crazy." - Kenan Thompson speaking to Starpulse about his "SNL" and "Sit Down, Shut Up" co-star Will Forte's love for fake moustaches in a yet to be published interview.

An Insider's Look At 'SNL' Behind The Scenes
I am a Saturday Night Live junkie - so much so that at times I have trouble hiding how big of a fan when that little thing called professionalism may be at stake. It was so apparent in the interview I conducted with current featured player Bobby Moynihan - a self-described "SNL" nerd himself - that he casually mentioned the prospect of me attending a show.
Now I could tell Bobby was a really nice guy, but I thought he was just trying to be polite. I was pleasantly surprised (read: screamed like a 12 year old girl!) when a week later he followed up on that invitation and asked if I wan...

Meet The Cast That's Going To Save 'Saturday Night Live'
For those of you who have been keeping score, it has been a long time since Saturday Night Live, once the premier, end all and be all of comedy on television, has held the clout it once demanded. In fact, many of those who grew up on the late night comedy show have long since grown disinterested and weary of sub par casts, guests, and skits. "Saturday Night Live" was declared dead by popular consensus. And yet, after 33 seasons, it is making a new bid with some fresh faces. Sound the alarm - the funniest night of the week is back:

The 10 Greatest Cast Members Of 'Saturday Night Live'
Live from New York, it's Saturday Night! These seven words have been shouted from Studio 8H of Rockefeller Center since Lorne Michaels created "Saturday Night Live" in 1975. The original name of the show was simply "Saturday Night" because at the time ABC had a show entitled "Saturday Night Live with Howard Cosell."
Choosing 10 of the show's best cast members is not a task to be taken lightly. We looked at what qualities go into making a perfect cast member as opposed to just picking performers who went on to greater fame after they left the show (though sometimes this happened anyw...
