The upcoming prequel stars James McAvoy as Charles Xavier and Michael Fassbender as Erik Lehnsherr (aka Magneto), two friends discovering their extraordinary powers for the first time before mutants became commonplace in the world.

The two band together with others like them to help avert nuclear Armageddon, but in the process have a falling out and become bitter enemies.

Today Variety reported that Mad Men's January Jones signed on to play telepath Emma Frost in Xmen Origins: First Class. The movie, being directed by Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass) will tell the story of Professor X and Magneto's early friendship and how they evolved into archenemies. The movie is also starring Zoe Kravitz (It’s Kind of a Funny Story) as Angel, Jason Flemyng (Snatch) as Azazel, Bill Bilner (Son of Rambow) as an even younger Magneto, and Morgan Lily (2012) as a young Raven.

The movie is slated for a June, 2011 release.

Elizabeth Taylor once kicked legendary hell raiser Richard Harris out of her Hollywood home, after catching him drinking her expensive perfume.

Harris, who died in 2002, was a famous Hollywood party animal and lifelong drinker - part of a booze-loving fraternity of British and Irish stars including Oliver Reed, Peter O'Toole and Taylor's late husband Richard Burton. His embarrassing encounter with the glamorous actress was revealed to his actor son Jared when he worked with fellow actor Jason Flemyng on new movie The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Horror veteran George A. Romero is disappointed one his proudest efforts remains largely ignored. The Dawn Of The Dead creator insists Bruiser, a film he made in 1998 after several failed Hollywood deals, is one of his best works despite the fact hardly anyone has seen it.

He says, "Out of frustration I basically fled in 1998 and sat down and wrote a little film called Bruiser that no one has ever seen and people don't get. I love it and I'm very proud of it. Hopefully someday somebody will notice it and say, 'Hey, this ain't bad.'"
