Jeff Daniels: Hope Not Lost For 'Dumb & Dumber' Sequel

June 25th, 2012 10:01am EDT
Jeff Daniels
Despite Jim Carrey quitting the planned project earlier this month, Jeff Daniels is hopeful a "Dumb & Dumber" sequel will eventually hit the big screen.

The highly-anticipated follow-up to the 1994 comedy about two dim-witted pals was confirmed by the Farrelly brothers in April, but the production has been stalled by continuous delays and lack of studio support for the film.

Carrey eventually walked away from the movie after growing "increasingly frustrated" by the project's lack of progress, but Daniels is optimistic the sequel will one day be made.

He tells CNN's Piers Morgan, "I know ...

Farrelly Brothers Breathe New Life Into 'The Three Stooges' (Video)

April 13th, 2012 1:00pm EDT
The Three Stooges
First I must say that I have never been a fan of 'The Three Stooges.' Never watched them on TV way back when or understood their appeal. Slapstick, over the top comedy has never been my thing.

So you can imagine how much I was dreading seeing the Farrelly Brothers new film 'The Three Stooges.' Well guess what? To my surprise, I absolutely loved it and I LMAO.

This has a lot to do with the three actors portraying these guys. Moe (Chris Diamantopoulos) Larry (Sean Hayes) and Curly (Will Sasso) are absolutely spot on in bringing these iconic characters to life.

Yes, the humor is campy, s...

Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies
My high hopes for the fourth “American Pie” movie were dashed after I saw “American Reunion.” There was plenty of 90s nostalgia and some of the trademark humor that you love from the franchise, but on the whole the film was pretty depressing. For more of my thoughts, check out the full review.

Dropping in at the box office this week are the Joss Whedon penned horror film “The Cabin in the Woods,” the modern-day take on a classic comedy trio in “The Three Stooges,” the action packed sci-fi movie “Lockout,” the African American kidnapping thriller “Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day,” ...

I watched “The Fighter” last week, which was the final Best Picture Oscar nominee that I needed to see before the Academy Awards. Although I had heard mixed reviews of the David O. Russell drama, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the film.

Even though the story centers around a boxer, part of what makes it interesting is that there is less focus on the actual matches themselves and more on the main character Mickey Ward’s (Mark Wahlberg) struggle to separate himself from the people trying to control his life: his mother (Melissa Leo), his brother (Christian Bale), and his ...
