Colin Farrell Wrote 'Break-Up' Letter When He Quit Smoking
Hollywood actor Colin Farrell wrote a "break-up" letter to tobacco when he gave up smoking.
The Phone Booth star decided to quit his habit on his 34th birthday last year, but before he puffed on his last cigarette, Farrell spent an entire day consuming as many smokes as possible.
And as soon as he finished his last one, the star wrote a special letter to mark the occasion.
He tells Britain's Shortlist magazine, "I gave up the Sunday before I turned 34. I spent the whole day with a packet of cigarettes. I didn't really see anyone and with every cigarette I smoked, I smoked with as much aw...

Review: Farrell’s Frightening, Ferocious, Fangs Saves ‘Fright Night’ Reboot!
“Welcome to frrrr (Spanish ‘R’ roll) rrright night…FOR REAL!” Ohoo…Damn! Remember that line from 1985’s Fright Night version? That freaky cold line, delivered by Jerry Dandridge (Chris Sarandon) during a freaky scene towards the end of the film…? It was pretty chilling. For a B-movie which starts off slow and not pieced too well…it picked up during the middle and does what it had to do—Entertain, scare, develop a little horniness, cringe and start dwelling on Vampire flicks a bit differently than what Hollywood had presented in its earlier years. During 1985, Fright Night became a cult clas...
READ MOREReview: 'Fright Night 3D' Is The Reason Remakes Get A Bad Name
Let me preface this review by stating that even though I’m a HUGE fan of the original 1985 Tom Holland five-star horror outing, I’m well aware that even that film lifted ideas from others. ("Rear Window" anyone?!) But as the effective D.J. Caruso remake of sorts called "Disturbia" so defiantly showed, a rehash of ideas can sometimes turn out to be a good thing. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the sub-par outing "Fright Night 3D," a terrible excuse to revisit Holland’s work that tries desperately to be daring and different, but ultimately succumbs to copying the original - ba...

If you missed my interview last week, with Jesse Eisenberg and Nick Swardson for the action comedy “30 Minutes or Less,” definitely check it out. The superbly cast film, which is helmed by “Zombieland” director Ruben Fleischer, is loaded with hilarious pop culture references, entertaining action sequences, and great improvisational humor. If you liked what “Zombieland” did for horror comedies, you’ll love what “30 Minutes or Less” does for the action genre. My Grade: B+

Colin Farrell rarely notices his son's neurogenetic condition anymore and hails the youngster's progress as "phenomenal".
The In Bruges actor's seven-year-old son James, with ex-girlfriend Kim Bordenave, suffers from Angelman syndrome, a rare disorder which can cause seizures as well as frequent bouts of laughter.
Farrell has revealed James' health has drastically improved in recent years and he now rarely suffers seizures.
He tells USA Today, "He's doing phenomenal. Less and less and less do I see his condition. I'm just keenly aware of his personality. He's really cool. He's got an a...

Colin Farrell Quits Smoking
Actor Colin Farrell has kicked his worst habit - he quit smoking.
A former chain-smoker, the Irish actor has often had to wear a nicotine patch to satisfy his cravings while filming on sets where the habit is banned, and now he has ended his relationship with cigarettes in a bid to get healthy.
He tells InStyle magazine, "It was time. I was a 40-cigarette-a-day smoker, but I wasn’t enjoying it. So, on my 34th birthday last year , I spent a day with a pack and consciously looked at every single puff until I smoked the last one at 11:55 that night.

Charlie Day Steals The Show In 'Horrible Bosses'
It's often said that comedic acting is more difficult than dramatic acting, for various reasons. On one hand, it's a real shame that comedic actors are never recognized for their works with Oscars or other prestigious awards. On the other hand, so many comedies are so lazy (Adam Sandler's last five movies, for instance) that they deserve the derision and low reputation they get. All of this makes it all the more delightful when a brilliant, excellent, elevating comedic performance comes along; the kind delivered by Charlie Day in "Horrible Bosses."
From the beginning, Day has his work c...

Review: Who Knew A Trio Of 'Horrible Bosses' Could Lead To Fun And Laughs!
I don’t think I’ve ever recalled a moment where I’ve wanted to kill one of my bosses. Truth be told, I’ve been somewhat blessed with people I’ve worked for, however, I will say that on more than one occasion I’ve wanted to kill a co-worker! You know that whining little wuss or wench that can’t keep their trap shut for any apparent reason? Or feel a sense of entitlement to render their services based off conniving actions? Yeah! That’s the person I’ve wanted to kill more than once—along with some women I’ve dated—but that’s neither here nor there! Why? Well, because this of course is about S...
READ MOREWhat Celebrities Would Be 'Horrible Bosses'?
“Horrible Bosses,” a black comedy starring funnymen Jason Bateman, Charlie Day (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Jason Sudeikis, is about three friends who conspire to kill each other’s torturous bosses. Although it doesn’t premiere in theaters until July 8, I have already heard buzz about the film’s epic hilarity from people who have attended early screenings. In honor of the movie's release (that also boasts the comedic stylings of Oscar-winner Kevin Spacey, a brunette Jennifer Aniston and a beer-bellied, balding Colin Farrell), I’m using my powers of imagination for good and ex...
READ MOREJason Bateman: Greatest Career Resurrection Ever?
One of the biggest stars in Hollywood right now was practically living in obscurity 15 years ago. The second act of Jason Bateman’s career is almost as unbelievable as it is well-deserved. After a career-boosting (heck, career-reviving) role on Fox’s short-lived sitcom “Arrested Development,” Bateman has become ubiquitous in Hollywood comedies and pretty much synonymous with the passive-aggressive straight man character. This weekend, his new movie “Horrible Bosses” opens nationwide co-starring Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Jennifer Aniston, Colin Farrell and Kevin Spacey. The cast, which mi...

Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies - 'Horrible Bosses,' 'Zookeeper' & More
For those of you who’ve been following me for a while, you might recall that I gave “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” a positive review. If you’re one of the people who read my opinion back then, you might be surprised to learn I really didn’t care for its sequel “Transformers: Dark of the Moon.” At this point, Michael Bay is just repeating a tired formula that fails to entertain despite the introduction of 3D. Check out my further thoughts here.

Colin Farrell Gets A Career Do-Over
It’s rare in Hollywood for an actor to get a second chance at a career. The most recent example of a career rebirth is Mickey Rourke whose performance in Darren Aronofsky’s “The Wrestler” not only earned him an Oscar nomination, but gave him a new life as a serious and respected actor. In 1994, Quentin Tarantino pulled John Travolta out of the wreckage of his previously successful career and cast him in one of his most iconic roles as the hitman Vincent in “Pulp Fiction.”

Love Of Water Helped Doctors Diagnose Colin Farrell's Son With Rare Disorder
Colin Farrell is fascinated with his son's obsession with water - because it helped doctors correctly diagnose the youngster with neuro-genetic condition Angelman syndrome.
The Irish actor knew nothing about the disorder, also known as happy puppet syndrome, when James was first diagnosed - and now understands why his son is so happy when he's in or near water.
In a rare interview about his son's condition with TV host Ellen DeGeneres, which aired on Friday, Farrell said, "James is kind of obsessed with water... He's not a great swimmer but he just loves being close to it and in and arou...
