Celebrities That Turn 50 In 2012
The year was 1962, John F. Kennedy was President of the United States and the cold war with Russia was in full swing as the world witnessed the Cuban Missile Crisis. December 2nd, 2011 11:15am EST
Derek Magyar
Many actors aspire to direct; great directors like Ron Howard and Jon Favreau were actors first. That's the same career path that Derek Magyar is on. Still a working actor, he directed and produced the film Flying Lessons, which arrives in select theaters today.

The film has an intriguing cast - near-legend Hal Holbrook, Academy Award winner Christine Lahti, Cary Elwes (Glory, The Princess Bride, The X-Files), and Maggie Grace (Lost, Taken) at the top - that brings to life the story of Sophie (Grace)'s return home to the messy relationships of her past. As she tries to put the pieces ...

What?! Good Actors, Bad Ideas

April 1st, 2011 4:05pm EDT
Shark Attack
Remember that saying "the road to hell is paved with good intentions"? Even the best actors have their misses. Here's a list of some of my favorite bad performances, miscastings, and poor project choices - all the things that land great actors in bad situations. (But I still love them, regardless.)

John Barrowman, Shark Attack 3: Megalodon (2002)

Shark Attack 3: Megalodon is the worst movie that I have ever seen. I really wish that Mystery Science Theater 3000 was still around, because this flick belongs on that list.

While no one expects brilliance from a movie called Shark Attack ...

March 30th, 2011 11:00am EDT
Wonder Woman
We spotted Adrianne Palicki filming "Wonder Woman" in Los Angeles yesterday. And guess what? She's wearing red boots.

Last week the costume was revealed, and fans were outraged by the character's blue boots. Updates to the new costume also include skin-tight blue latex pants (instead of a bikini bottom) and silver bracelets (instead of gold ones).

Palicki will also play Wonder Woman's alter-ego, Princess Diana of Themyscira a.k.a. Diana Prince, an Amazonian princess who, in the original series, rescues a fighter pilot and brings him home to America after he crash lands on her home of Para...

Adrianne Palicki Rocks The New 'Wonder Woman' Costume

March 21st, 2011 12:04pm EDT
Adrianne Palicki
The first image of Adrianne Palicki as Wonder Woman has been released by NBC, and the revamped costume does not disappoint.

Updates to the new costume include skin-tight blue latex pants and silver bracelets (instead of gold ones); but most noticeabe are the blue boots instead of the traditional red ones. The new outfit also seems to coincide with the recent comic book update to the costume as well, as seen in artist Don Kramer's artwork for Wonder Woman #607, which came out in February.

The Friday Night Lights star was announced as the star of TV creator David E. Kelley's revamp of the l...

Katie Holmes
Katie Holmes was "upset" by reports Hollywood executives walked out of a preview for her new movie The Son Of No One - because a technical error caused the early exits, according to the film's producer.

The actress stars alongside Al Pacino, Channing Tatum and Ray Liotta in the gritty crime drama, which was debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah on Monday. Reports suggested the picture received a lukewarm response from the audience and "a stream" of movie studio bosses walked out before the credits rolled.

Producer Cassian Elwes, brother of actor Cary Elwes, has now spoken out to c...

31 Days Of Horror: 'Saw' (2004)

October 20th, 2010 2:07pm EDT
Saw
Ever since Saw came out way back in 2004, I’ve heard nothing but belly aching from movie-goers and horror-goons alike over how the movie ushered in a new era of gore-porn. That because of Saw, as well as Hostel, its pseudo sister-movie, all horror movies started to forgo any attempt at story telling in favor of graphic depictions of peoples’ heads getting shoved into bear-traps or corn threshers. I also recall it being quite buzzed about before its release, only to be met with cold to tepid reviews upon its actual release. So, keeping its reputation in mind, I skipped past watching Saw, Saw...
