| I was blessed to meet Mr.Douglas when I was 12 years old, in a store in New York , while he was promoting the movie Posse in 1975. He was great I took a picture of Kirk with my Dad , that I still have. Kirk I remember was impressed at the fact that I knew all his kid's names, and we talked briefly about Michael and The streets of San Francisco. He is such a nice guy I wish him and his family well... | ||

| What a multi-talented gentleman. Just read his book, "My Stroke of Luck" and consider it one of the most inspirational books I've read. Kirk is a fighter, a giver, and a very educated man in the true sense of the word. He can think as well as act. Horray for him! | ||

Kirk Douglas is one of Hollywood's most respected stars. Kirk Douglas worked with many to some of Hollywood's most beautiful ladies such as Kim Novak, Susan Hayward, Lana Turner, Ava Gardner, Paula Prentiss, Melina Mecouri, Deborah Kerr, Faye Dunaway, et al Kirk Douglas also stared with top professionals such as John Wayne, Rock Hudson, Robert Mitchum, Richard Widmark,Charles Boyer, Walter Matthau, Laurence Olivier, Tony Curtis, and his great friend Burt Lancaster with whom he made several movies. Kirk Douglas always felt his finest performance was in Vincente Minneli's "Lust For Life" I personally liked him in Richard Quine's "Strangers When We Meet" so-starring Miss Novak Kirk Douglas who played cowboys, military Men, a Roman slave, etc. always gave first rate performances and while nominted never won an Oscar however the Academy rectified this ommisson by awarding him an Honorary Oscar. Kirk Douglas was an strong Independent Producer with is Bryna Film Company which produced serveral of his great movies most famously "Spartacus" at Universal with Jean Simmons, John Gavin, Charles Laughton and Messrs. Olivier and Curtis. Douglas worked with some of the finest Hollywood directors such as Vincente Minnelli, Stanely Kurbrik, Robert Aldrich, Rene Clement and Billy Wilder. Kirk Douglas is the Father of Michael Douglas. A Father/Son Superstar team. Douglas has also written several fine Books re his Life as legendary star. | ||

| While on a visit to LA in July our "stars homes tour bus" approached Mr. Douglas's home as he was being driven out and he took the time to stop and wind down his window and wave to us and even had a friendly few words with the bus driver - he certainly made my day. That's why he's a legend. I've always thought he's great and is now making a great recovery from his stroke. I wish him many years of good health. | ||

| I have never written a fan letter before in my 68 years but after I watched Mr. Douglas in Illusions, I was moved to do so because of his courage and no holding back attitude. Despite his physical limitations he soldiered on and did so magnificantly. It's one of his very best most authentic roles. I'm so thankful I had an opportunity to see it. | we still watch his movies and I think he is owe some, and one heck of an actor , only if these younger actors would follow or take his advice on acting. YOU are the best and always will be. God Bless | ||
