Sibel Kekilli struggled to understand co-stars on Game Of Thrones set
Game Of Thrones star Sibel Kekilli struggled with her lines during the first season of the hit TV show as it was the first time she had acted in a major role in English.
The German actress initially had trouble understanding the different accents of her co-stars on set and admits she "didn't understand anything" before her language skills improved.
Kekilli originally had her scripts translated into German, but her grasp of English increased by the second series - much to the disappointment of actor Peter Dinklage.

Peter Dinklage Reveals High School Suicide Plan
The high school years weren't kind to "Game Of Thrones" star Peter Dinklage, who recently revealed the he and a friend half heartedly talked about committing suicide to escape the torment.
The actor, 43, has a form of Dwarfism that apparently made him an outcast among his peers at his New Jersey high school.
He told Playboy magazine: "Everything in high school feels like it's life or death. I went to a pretty athletic high school, and I didn't have many friends. I remember once talking to my best friend, and we came up with the idea that we should hang ourselves off the bell tower: 'That'...

Peter Dinklage Chopped Off An Amputee's Fake Leg?
Peter Dinklage, who portrays the intrepid Tyrion "The Imp" Lannister on HBO's flagship series Game of Thrones, is having a hard time coping with something that occurred in the midst of a fight scene last season.
During the episode "Blackwater," Tyrion leads Lannister forces through a secret tunnel through the walls of King's Landing to maneuver his men behind Stannis Baratheon's forces. The first casualty of that battle was a soldier whose leg Tyrion hacked off with a large axe, who then promptly fell over and received a killing blow to the face.

Peter Dinklage Joins The Cast Of 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past'
We've got to hand it to "X-Men: Days of Future Past" director Bryan Singer, because the guy sure knows how to surround himself with serious talent. First he went and brought back original "X-Men" trilogy stars Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman and Ellen Page for his time travel epic. Then he signed up "X-Men: First Class" leads Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. And now?

Peter Dinklage Named Farm Animal Ambassador
Game Of Thrones star Peter Dinklage is taking a stand against cruelty on factory farms by becoming a spokesperson for an animal sanctuary.
The actor, a vegetarian since he was 16 years old, has pledged his support to the Farm Sanctuary, a rescue center for abused livestock.
In his first task as ambassador, Dinklage will help host the Walk For Animals event to raise awareness of the problem.
He says, "I love animals and the way they are treated on factory farms is not OK with me. Numerous studies have shown that cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, and other farm animals possess the same int...

'Game Of Thrones' Recap: Season 2, Episode 5 - 'The Ghost Of Harrenhal'
If there’s one thing “Game of Thrones” doesn’t do, is waste time. Last week’s episode closed with shots of sorceress Melisandre birthing some monstrous shadow, a wispy, manlike demon summoned for some mysterious bidding. This week’s episode, “The Ghost of Harrenhaal,” opened rather routinely: Catelyn and Renly were chatting about kingly things while Brienne helped Renly remove his armor. And then, with a fellow swoop, the shadow demon entered, stabbed Renly, and fled. All in the first five minutes.
The abruptness of the deed was cold, indeed. Brienne cried out in horror at the loss of her ...

'Game Of Thrones' Recap: Season 2, Episode 4 - 'Garden Of Bones'
If last night's episode of "Game of Thrones" doesn't get people talking, I don't know what will.
I'm sure dedicated book fans were expecting those final shots, when sorceress Melisandre gave birth to… a shadow baby? As a non-book reader, I'm murky on the details. But I do know that I finished this episode with an audible exhale of breath. Not only was it the most outwardly fantastical scene of the show so far (with the exception, perhaps, of Dany's dragons), but it was wrought with tension. I was expecting the birth of an illegitimate Stannis baby, after their steamy sex scene last week. W...

'Game Of Thrones' - Jack Gleeson Emmy Contender For Joffrey Performance
Ask any Game of Thrones fan who they hate the most on the series, and a majority will answer "Joffrey." While the Lannisters will receive their fair share of hatred (Jaime for his smugness, Cersei for her "family comes first" lunacy), it is the blonde Baratheon that takes the cake - and Jack Gleeson could be taking an Emmy in September.
In a setting with so many grey characters, Joffrey is a stark antagonist. Whereas Tyrion continues to play "The Game" while also flirting with love and attempting to right some wrongs (netting Peter Dinklage an Emmy in the process), Joffrey has no redeeming...

'Game Of Thrones' Recap: Meet Brienne Of Tarth And Margaery Tyrell In 'What Is Dead May Never Die'
"Game of Thrones" is nothing if not expansive (understatement of the century). Characters who get the silent treatment for long drags of time have a tendency to crop up as soon as they’re forgotten. That reinsertion takes centerfold in this week’s installment, with Renly Baratheon’s quest for glory as the overarching storyline.
Like his brothers, Robert and Stannis, Renly is a noble man, a little too proud and a little too stubborn to assume the leadership role he so rightfully seeks. With bastard child Joffrey at reign, Westeros is in the thick of an ugly war, new enemies and allegiances...

'Game Of Thrones' 2.01 Recap: The North Remembers
In almost every instance, I'm a book girl first, adaptation fan second. It's been a long-standing tradition of mine to visit the original source material for the main course, and then follow up with a nice movie or TV show dessert. But I came to "Game of Thrones" long after the final episode aired last season, when I happened on it On Demand the day after Christmas. I'd been meaning to watch it, but I wanted to read the books first (I owned the first two already, so I had no excuse). But tempted by boredom and the lure of episodes in crystal-clear HD, I decided "what the hell?" and watched ...

(Hollywoodchicago.com) – For the life of me, I couldn’t exorcise it from my head. Amid all the splendor of such a picturesque film, this one question was like a gnat I couldn’t swat: “Is this really rated ‘PG’?” Indeed, “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian” is rated “PG”.
