Game of Thrones 2.01 Recap: The North Remembers
In almost every instance, I'm a book girl first, adaptation fan second. It's been a long-standing tradition of mine to visit the original source material for the main course, and then follow up with a nice movie or TV show dessert. But I came to "Game of Thrones" long after the final episode aired last season, when I happened on it On Demand the day after Christmas. I'd been meaning to watch it, but I wanted to read the books first (I owned the first two already, so I had no excuse). A 'Game of Throne' fan in costumes.
On March 27th, 2012, Colorado fans of the epic HBO series “Game of Thrones” were treated to an exclusive, limited engagement: The “Ultimate Fan Experience.” This event included a sneak-peek screening of the season 2 premiere, “The North Remembers,” which will air on April 1st, 2012, at 9pm E.T. on HBO.

The series begins with Adams (Paul Giamatti) witnessing the Boston Massacre and his subsequent defense of the British soldiers accused of murder for their actions. Adams takes the case after convincing his wife Abigail (Laura Linney) that in a free coun...

Sam Mendes Pulls His London Shakespeare Plays

July 26th, 2007 9:49am EDT
Sam Mendes
Director Sam Mendes has been forced to cancel two of his London theater projects after leading actor Stephen Dillane pulled out of the shows because of an illness in the family. Mendes was due to team up with his American Beauty star, Kevin Spacey, to present the William Shakespeare plays Hamlet and The Tempest at London's Old Vic Theatre next year - where Spacey serves as Artistic Director.

However Dillane's withdrawal from the two West End productions means the shows will now be shelved indefinitely. Instead, theater fans can look forward to a 2009 reunion of Mendes and Spacey, when...
