October 18th, 2008 6:30pm EDT
Andy Dick
Comedy actor Andy Dick will have to wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet for a year, after pleading guilty to two misdemeanor charges of battery and marijuana possesson in a California court on Friday.

Dick struck a deal, ensuring charges of public intoxication and possession of painkiller Xanax without a prescription were dropped.

The accusations all stem from the 42-year-old's arrest outside a restaurant in Murrieta, California in July - after he allegedly exposed a 17-year-old girl's breasts.

Funny Film Cameos

June 2nd, 2008 10:13am EDT
Ben Stiller
A cameo used to refer to a famous person who made an appearance in a film as him or herself. Now actors play small parts as a character in a film for comic relief. Most cameos are non-credited due to the shortness of the screen time or because they are so famous they don't need a big credit. Some are publicity stunts. Others pay tribute to that actor's work in a similar role, but they are all for the most part hilarious. Following are 10 of film's funniest cameos in no particular order:

Will Ferrell as the pompous and entertaining Chazz Reinhold in Wedding Crashers

Once an accomp...

TV On DVD Recommendation: 'Newsradio'

February 15th, 2008 4:28pm EST
Newsradio
The third-best comedy of the 1990s (behind "The Simpsons" and "Seinfeld"), "Newsradio" is also one of its least-remembered and lowest-rated despite being granted a lengthy five-season run. This is mostly due to the fact that the show had its airtime or airdate changed a staggering 11 times during its run. But now that all the episodes are available on DVD, you won't have to worry about not knowing when it's on.

Set in the offices of fictional New York radio station WNYX, "Newsradio" details the wacky goings-on among the staff. The cast is filled with comedic stars led by Dave Foley ...

Starpulse Q&A With Jay Johnston: How the Mustachioed Half Lives

November 14th, 2007 4:19pm EST
Jay Johnston
Jay Johnston was used to strangers approaching him in public. After all, he was a prominent writer and actor on the cult HBO sketch series Mr. Show with Bob and David. Plus, he's had his fair share of encounters with the homeless and jerks who want to pick a fight with him simply because he's six foot five. But the oddest reactions Jay's received were the result of growing out a mustache during the first season of The Sarah Silverman Program for his role of Officer Jay McPherson. Suddenly, Jay found himself the victim of behavior he deemed to odd and annoying to endure and vowed to wear pro...

December 25th, 2006 5:00pm EST
Mel Gibson
A lot of strange, crazy and even predictable things happened in the celebrity world during 2006; however, no one was prepared for the racial tensions and outbursts from well-known and respected actor/director Mel Gibson and Seinfeld star Michael Richards.

No stranger to debatable material, Mel began the year shooting his latest controversial epic, Apocalypto, about the end days of the Mayan civilization. And in May he pointed his finger at President Bush, comparing the U.S. leader to the barbaric Mayans portrayed in his new film.

But it was Mel's barbaric ways that would steal th...

It's comedians instead of Cupid shooting arrows at sexy vixen Pamela Anderson in the most-talked about and craziest "Comedy Central Roast" ever. The event kicked-off with Anderson floating down from the rafters in an O-shaped chair while bubbles flowed through the air, followed by rapid fire quips, all at Anderson's expense. Ex-lover Tommy Lee proved once again that he is truly "larger than life" and the Roasters made sure to give it to him when it came to his manhood. And who could forget all those Courtney Love moments? Jimmy Kimmel, host of ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," served as Roast Mas...
