Johnny Depp To Pay $150 Million Or More To Vanessa Paradis?

June 22nd, 2012 2:13pm EDT
Johnny Depp
Although Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis never tied the knot, she could be in line for a huge payoff following their split. Depp is reported putting together a sum over $150 million to "keep the split amicable."

A source tells The Sun, "If the couple had been married, Mr. Depp's wife would be able to simply claim 50 per cent, child support payments and alimony.

"However, because they are not married this does not apply. The partner [Paradis] would have to file a civil suit and go to court."

To keep the couple out of court (and the front page of tabloids), the payment seems like a good id...

Great Actor/Director Combos For The Release Of 'Dark Shadows'

May 11th, 2012 1:03pm EDT
Dark Shadows
Every artist has their muse, whether it be human, imaginary, or in some cases, drug induced. And while certainly some people might joke that the latter is Tim Burton's muse of choice, given the stye and subject of many of his films, it's become quite clear over the years that he draws inspiration from the people he surrounds himself with. Most notable among them are Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp.

Given that his newest film, "Dark Shadows", marks Burton and Depp's 8th film collaboration, we at Starpulse decided to take a look at some of the other actor/director partnerships that hav...

Box Office: 'The Avengers' Should Break 'Avatar' Record, 'Dark Shadows' Set For Distant Second

The Hulk in The Avengers
The Avengers should have little trouble breaking Avatar's second weekend record, thanks in part to great reviews and word of mouth. Avatar took in just above $75 million its second weekend and pundits suggest The Avengers may break the $100 million mark.

The Avengers face no contenders for the top spot; while Johnny Depp's Dark Shadows should bring in a good haul, Box Office Mojo suggests it will "only" make $33 million.

If The Avengers beats Avatar's second weekend mark, it could be a sign that Disney's film might contend for the top domestic spot of all-time. James C...
