Celebrities With Royal Blood

September 17th, 2014 11:12am EDT
Celebrities With Royal Blood
There's Hollywood royalty, and then there's the blue blood ancestry that neither talent (nor money) can buy.

Angelina Jolie was born in Los Angeles, Calif., to actors Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. The "Malificent" star's maternal grandfather was French Canadian, while her maternal grandmother was Dutch and German.

It's believed that Jolie is related, on her mother's side, to French King Philip II, known as Philip Augustus. He ruled from 1180 to 1223. Philip transformed France from a small feudal state into the wealthiest and most powerful country in Europe.

For Argo, Ben Affleck made like a hockey player and kept a beard for "the playoffs," AKA awards season. He shaved it off at an Oscars after-party when his film won Best Picture.

George Clooney, like Ben Affleck, grew a "producer beard" while Argo was striving for awards. He also rocked just a moustache for a bit, but for the last year or so he's been clean-shav...

Has Johnny Depp Lost His Box Office Appeal?
Despite the fact that Johnny Depp is arguably one of the most popular movie stars in the world, his fame rests on the monetary draw of his movies prior to 2010.

Depp for many years held the enviable position of being the type of actor who could draw moviegoers to his latest project just by name alone. Now, with "Transcendence" his fourth flop in a row, will big budget studios still continue to use him as a major player, or will this once mega-star be backburnered to supporting roles?

The actor's latest big-budget sci-fi epic "Transcendence" opened to a dismal $11.5 million from 3,455 loca...
