Action man Vin Diesel is in talks to join the cast of Marvel Comics' new superhero movie Guardians Of The Galaxy.

The Fast and The Furious star first sparked rumours of his involvement in an upcoming Marvel project last month (Jul13) when he took to his Facebook.com page and revealed that he had met with company bosses over a top-secret new role.

He simply wrote, "Marvel meeting today... Only the people in the room can tell you what was discussed... and after that meeting today... wow!"

A representative for The Usual Suspects actor has confirmed to Life & Style magazine that Stewart is due later this year.

Benicio Del Toro is facing legal action from a man who alleges he suffered a "major spinal injury" in a car crash with the actor.

Hassam Zarbakhsh claims he was severely hurt when The Usual Suspects star's Ford Bronco smashed into his sports utility vehicle in Hollywood earlier this year, according to a lawsuit filed on Tuesday at Los Angeles County Superior Court.

Zarbakhsh's lawyer tells TMZ.com his client sustained a "major spinal injury" in the accident.

He is said to be seeking a judgment in the six-figure range but the exact sum is unknown.
