Benicio Del Toro Joins All-Star 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Cast - As Thanos?

June 4th, 2013 8:07pm EDT
Benicio del Toro
Oscar-winner Benicio del Toro has signed on to join the impressive cast of Marvel's interstellar comic book movie Guardians of the Galaxy.

Benicio will be acting with Glenn Close, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, and John C. Reilly in the sci-fi action film. It is assumed several of the characters will be CGI, considering one of them is a anthropomorphic raccoon and the rest are various types of aliens.

More exciting, possibly, is the rumor that del Toro will be playing Thanos, who was teased at the end of The Avengers as the main bad guy. Again, considering Thanos is a hulking alien bent of wor...

Benicio Del Toro is convinced U.S. officials should legalize marijuana in an attempt to bring the drugs trade under control.

The 21 Grams star, who plays a drugs cartel enforcer in new movie Savages, believes the country's drug problems could be eased if authorities took control of cannabis and taxed sales to raise revenue.

Nonetheless, Del Toro is also adamant the drug can be just as dangerous as alcohol and should be similarly restricted.

He tells the Sydney Daily Telegraph, "I think that marijuana grows in the ground and helps many people in need. Why should it be treated like it's...

Pierre Morel's film from last week "From Paris With Love," isn't awesomely bad, but instead it's just plain bad. As an action movie, it's visually entertaining because it engrosses you in the fight scenes and shootouts

The story doesn't introduce any specific elements to engage the audience or fully explain the terrorist plan the protagonists are hoping to thwart. In some instances the dialogue is so ludicrous that you find yourself audibly laughing at ...

They've also cast Jim Carrey as the corpulent Curley Howard. He's being expected to put on a good forty pounds for the role, a feat that's more reminiscent of Robert De Niro's transformation for the film, 'Raging Bull', than any comedy. (Fat suits and Jack Black don't count.) So why are the Farrelly brothers putting so much emphasis on the dramatic sid...
