1/13/2016 6:00pm EST
Classic movie characters have a long history of spouting great lines that fans find themselves repeating, but nothing makes a catchy phrase stick in the craw better than a little yelling. Meaning anyone can simply speak soft and carry a big stick, but it's those who dare to be different by screaming loud for all to hear that get the cool quote job done. So to that end, this is a list dedicated to them – the bold and brave who took on sometimes simple lines and gave them a not so simple delivery that killed. Tough guys, killers, cops and criminals, we're proud to highlight all via my favorit...

Justin Bieber posed as Hollywood bad boy James Dean in a new photo on Instagram over the weekend.

In the black and white image, Bieber is pictured in a white t-shirt with his sleeves rolled up his arms and a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. His hair is also styled like the iconic actor's.

"This is James Dean inspired. Don't ask me if I smoke ciggys cuz I don't," the singer captioned the photo.

Bieber posted the picture side-by-side the "Rebel Without A Cause" star, who holds a pair of sunglasses as he gazes off into the distance.

The pop star recently told the New York Daily News he ...

James Dean
James Dean starred in Elia Kazan's film version of "East of Eden" in 1955. As Cal Trask, the troubled son of a wealthy businessman, he perfectly captured the neurosis and jealousies of the character.

While Dean did have a tendency toward over-emoting, the cumulative effect of his performance ultimate proves rewarding to viewers and was recognized by the Academy with a posthumous Oscar nomination as Best Actor.

One can only speculate on what heights (or what depths) Dean may have hit had he not been killed in a car accident on the night of September 30, 1955. Combining the sensitivity of a...

James Dean's Love Letters To Go Under The Hammer

9/12/2011 11:54am EDT
James Dean
Movie icon James Dean's letters to his former girlfriend are to be auctioned off in a new sale.

The screen legend's notes to his ex-lover Barbara Glenn, who he dated for two years, contain personal anecdotes about feeling homesick during the filming of a movie and his criticisms of a Broadway show he appeared in.

In one of the three handwritten letters, Dean calls the stage version of The Immoralist "a piece of s**t."

The three letters, which are being sold by Glenn's son, filmmaker Keith Gordon, are to be auctioned off separately when they go under the hammer at Christie's in London i...

Hollywood Unwrapped: Must Not See TV

4/15/2011 8:43am EDT
I have a question to ask all of the readers of this column. Do we really have Hollywood stars or real actors that we had in the past? Gone are the days when studios had an iron claw on the stars and being a celebrity actually meant something.

Yes, today we still have a handful of Academy Award winning movie stars such as Meryl Streep, George Clooney, Tom Hanks, and Clint Eastwood. We don’t have stars like Steve McQueen, James Dean or an Audrey Hepburn. But that's on the big screen.

Today, television is packed with reality shows that makes us lose brain cells and it seems like we be...

3/25/2011 6:05pm EDT
Elizabeth Taylor took one of James Dean's most private confessions to the grave when she died on Wednesday - he was molested by a minister when he was a child, according to revered journalist Kevin Sessums.

Taylor opened up about Dean's little-known past during an interview in 1997, when she reportedly swore the writer to secrecy - only allowing him to reveal all upon her death.

The Hollywood icon, who starred alongside Dean in the classic film Giant, told Sessums, "I'm going to tell you something, but it's off the record until I die. OK?"

The journalist has now recalled the 14-year-old ...

Robert Pattinson Influenced By James Dean, Says 'Remember Me' Role Was 'Reckless'

3/17/2010 12:24pm EDT
Robert Pattinson became a hot commodity in Hollywood not too long ago, but his aspirations are still sky high.

Pattinson was chatting about his latest movie "Remember Me," saying that he enjoyed being a little more reckless on the set than he is in real life - and that it was even "fun" to let his rage out on the set.

The "Twilight" star says he's heavily influenced by 50s movie star James Dean, although he admits he doesn't possess the "smooth moves" to get the ladies. He says he's more self-conscious than his characters - to the point where he doesn't remember the last time he asked a ...

4/7/2009 9:10am EDT
Natasha Richardson
Actress Natasha Richardson's unexpected death in a skiing accident late last month stunned and saddened the public. The usually overzealous media even seemed to tread lightly, gently reporting a story it never expected to tell. For a culture that values and admires celebrity, the death of vibrant public figures with potential yet to fulfill serves as a harsh reminder that despite glamour, talent and seemingly charmed lives, all of us are mortal. Whether on screens big or small, over the radio airwaves or in bright vivid color on canvas, the sudden passing of an entertainer can feel like the...

In Hollywood, it seems that when an entertainer first bursts on to the celebrity scene, they always appear very chic. Everything about their look and even their personality tends to be polished. However, give that celebrity about two to three years in the entertainment business and some end up looking very shabby.

Sometimes the results are not too beautiful. This could be due to them letting themselves go or by going under the knife, which is just so Hollywood. In this day and age, it is not uncommon for male celebrities to seek plastic surgery for so called betterment of who they ...
