'Seinfeld' Cast Reunites For Fake 'Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee'

February 3rd, 2014 11:03am EST
Seinfeld
Jerry Seinfeld told a little white lie when he said earlier this week when he said the upcoming Seinfeld reunion wouldn’t have anything to do with his web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.

Before the Super Bowl halftime show, FOX teased an episode of the show featuring Jerry and George Costanza (Jason Alexander) heading to the famous Tom’s Restaurant in a 1970s AMC Pacer to grab a cup of coffee during the break in the big game.

During the spot, the two guys argue over why they weren’t invited to the best Super Bowl party. Jerry blames George for his “over-cheering” at the last Su...

Jerry Seinfeld
Jerry Seinfeld has teased a mini Seinfeld reunion - but don't expect it to be in the form of a Super Bowl commercial.

Jerry, Larry David, and Jason Alexander were spotted walking into the famous Tom's Restaurant featured in their show Seinfeld earlier this month. It was believed the three would film a spot for the big game, but Jerry has now said that's not the case.

He told Boomer & Carlton on WFAN Thursday morning that the secret project was long than a commercial but it wasn't an episode of his web series "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee." He did say, however, that Jason was playing h...

Farrelly Brothers Breathe New Life Into 'The Three Stooges' (Video)

April 13th, 2012 1:00pm EDT
The Three Stooges
First I must say that I have never been a fan of 'The Three Stooges.' Never watched them on TV way back when or understood their appeal. Slapstick, over the top comedy has never been my thing.

So you can imagine how much I was dreading seeing the Farrelly Brothers new film 'The Three Stooges.' Well guess what? To my surprise, I absolutely loved it and I LMAO.

This has a lot to do with the three actors portraying these guys. Moe (Chris Diamantopoulos) Larry (Sean Hayes) and Curly (Will Sasso) are absolutely spot on in bringing these iconic characters to life.

Yes, the humor is campy, s...

Officials at the Catholic League have lashed out at the brains behind new movie comedy remake The Three Stooges for putting supermodel Kate Upton in a barely-there bikini for a racy scene.

The Sports Illustrated cover girl, who plays Sister Bernice in the film, strips down to a lacy black 'nun-kini' swimsuit and wimple for a pool scene in the new Farrelly brothers film - and religious leaders are not amused.

Larry David had a real life Curb Your Enthusiasm moment when the hapless actor was left trapped inside a garage.

The actor, who plays a constantly exasperated version of himself in the comedy series, attempted to leave a parking lot in Los Angeles on Sunday but failed.

Footage obtained by TMZ.com shows the 64-year-old funnyman struggling to open the parking gate before shouting to an assistant via the intercom, "I can't do it, I can't do this. I've put it in and paid $5."

David apologized to other drivers for the delay, but the flustered funnyman managed to eventually make his exit af...

2010 Emmys: Who Should Win & Who Will Win

2010 Emmys
It’s a transitional year for the Emmys, meaning this is one of the more exciting races in recent memories. The flood of new nominees (brought on by a stellar development slate) means that we can no longer rely on the predictable Emmy voting to determine winners. Instead, this is a year where we can see many newcomers emerging and starting a whole new slate of predictable nominees.

Yes, that was a little cynical, but it’s the sad truth of the Emmys – habits are hard to break for the voters. Luckily, this year the virgin nominees have afforded them an extensive choice for brand new habits.

TV Year End Recap

TV Year End Recap
Ah, the year has come to an end once more. Well, actually the decade has come to an end. But enough of all that end-of-the-decade nonsense. We still have a year in TV to discuss. A year that finally saw the networks once again deliver us some new shows worth watching, a year when several cable dramas took a massive step forward. A year when Paula Abdul wasn't the worst "Idol" Judge!

Yes, it was a strange year on the small screen, but a good one all the same. Here's the best, and some of the worst, of TV 2009.

'Mad Men,' 'Modern Family' Among Year's Best TV

Modern Family
NEW YORK (AP) - The biggest shows of 2009 couldn't always be contained by the TV screen. There were breakout tabloid scandals with Jon and Kate Gosselin. A wannabe reality TV star crashed the White House. David Letterman's hanky-panky seized headlines. Oprah Winfrey grabbed the nation's attention as she began her long goodbye. This was TV run amok.

But in 2009 other shows proved outstanding on more manageable terms: as excellent TV shows. They include:

'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Recap: ' The Table Read'

November 16th, 2009 9:37am EST
Curb Your Enthusiasm
And here we are, finally at the place we'd been waiting to get to since the season began - a place of nothingness, a place of "Seinfeld". Of course, that didn't mean we had to leave "Curb Your Enthusiasm" completely behind in the process of returning to its predecessor.

The episode revolved around the table read and dress rehearsals for the "Seinfeld" reunion special. Those scenes were pretty much run-of-the-mill behind-the-scenes TV stuff, not a whole lot new, but it was a bit thrilling to see the rulers of 90s television back in their element.

The uniquely "Curb" touches came in t...

If the above sentence were the only words spoken during "Office Krupke", the eighth episode of this season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm", the would have been enough to make it a classic. Fortunately, Larry David saw it fit enough to build an entire half-an-hour around those fourteen words.

Okay, so it wasn't all built around that. The action of the episode was mostly built around two pairs of pants: the pair Larry kind of stole from a Santa Monica Banana Republic and the pair of panties Susie fo...

'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Recap: 'The Black Swan'

Larry David is a man after my own heart. After a wildly uneven episode during which he tried to do too much with his series, David took "Curb Your Enthusiasm" in a far more streamlined direction with an episode as tight as last week's was loose and as focuses as last week's was scattered.

In "The Black Swan", David told one simple story that revolved around a topic as lovely and plain as one could find. The glorious game. Golf.

And like golf, Larry showed how one misstep can throw a whole life awry. Much as one loose shot can throw a whole round down the crapper. This false move c...

With all the sacred cows Larry David's desecrated throughout the decade, you'd think he'd have gotten to a farce involving the wheelchair bound by now. But, alas, last night's episode was his first foray into the paraplegic, and it was worth the wait.

Larry met his two-wheeled conquest while listening to some classical music in a coffee shop. Her recognition of his whistled tune led to a conversation and eventual invitation to a private recital by the artist playing in his headphones.

Of course, this is Larry David, so a simple date at the recital wasn't going to work for him. Ther...

There's nothing funny about mental illness or cancer except, of course, when Larry David is involved. "Curb Your Enthusiasm" made its two-years-in-the-making return to the air last night in much the same way it left us - social mores taken to their logical extreme through myriad heightened circumstances. It wouldn't be a "Curb" return if these circumstances didn't make the audience cringe a little bit, and feel guilty for laughing afterwards, and that bit of dichotomy was fully on parade last evening.
