NBC Casts Ted Danson, Kristen Bell In New Comedy From 'Parks & R
NBC announced Tuesday that Ted Danson and Kristen Bell will star in the network's new comedy from Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Parks & Recreation executive producer Michael Schur.

Good People follows Eleanor (Bell), who after realizing that she hasn't been a very good person, decides to improve her life. She's guided in her unlikely self-improvement by Michael (played by Danson). The show has a 13-episode order from NBC for next season.

The announcement will probably be interesting news for fans of CSI: Cyber and House of Lies. Danson joined the main cast of CSI: Cyber this past season after CB...

14 Of Our Favorite Celebrity Fiveheads

3/26/2013 7:01pm EDT
Chrissy Teigen
What's a 'fivehead'? Well, you've heard of a forehead, right? So then a fivehead must be a little bit bigger (there are even a few sixheads out there, as we'll point out later).

Some could be leased out to companies looking to increase their business, and others could be used as weapons. And perhaps some have the gift of echolocation.

We're not saying these people are unattractive because of their copious craniums, its just all in good fun.

You'll also be surprised to find out that absolutely NONE of these images have been photoshopped.

George Lucas And Ted Danson Remember Late NBC Chairman Brandon Tartikoff

10/21/2012 12:41pm EDT
George Lucas
George Lucas and Ted Danson took to the stage in Los Angeles on Thursday to remember late NBC chairman Brandon Tartikoff at an event in his honor.

The Hollywood stars were the guests of honor as a series of letters, interviews and speeches by TV network boss Tartikoff, who died in 1997, were posthumously accepted into the University of Southern California's (USC) School of Cinematic Arts catalog.

Star Wars creator Lucas, who had pushed for the film school to obtain the papers, declared himself a "big fan" of Tartikoff, and added: "He let people do their job. There are lots of executives a...

Silver Foxes: Sexy Grey & White Haired Celebrities

10/2/2012 1:00pm EDT
Helen Mirren
Most people in Hollywood don't like to reveal their true age, but there are exceptions. Helen Mirren, who fluxuates between white and white/blonde hair, proudly wears her true color on screen and off.

Last year the actress, 67, was named the best body in show business by members of British gym chain LA Fitness. Apparently, age (and hair color) doesn't matter.

Some younger stars are also embracing the white/grey trend. Singers P!nk, Adam Lambert and Ellie Goulding have all experimented with the pigment-free shade.

George Clooney is often spotted with whisps of grey unless a film role call...

Ted Danson Recalls Skipping Work & Getting High With 'Cheers' Cast

9/28/2012 9:24am EDT
Ted Danson
Several years ago, Ted Danson, Woody Harrelson, George Wendt and John Ratzenberger didn't show up to the set of "Cheers" because they wanted to get high.

The actors called in sick and went boating off the coast of California instead. Danson told GQ magazine, "The guys were just (like), 'Let's play hooky.' We'd never done anything wrong before. John had a boat, so we met at Marina del Rey at 8 a.m. We all called in sick."

Their leisurely day off turned bad quickly after too much drug use and a hurricane caused problems.

"Woody and I were already stoned, and Woody said, 'You want to try so...

He tells Britain's Radio Times, "We're watching the second year and my wife and I are completely hooked. It's so sad that you guys only make six or seven episodes a year...

"If we could go to England, the two of us, and be in Downton Abbey, we'd be the happiest people on the planet."

However, Danson could...

Big Miracle
Two Jews on Film - By Joan Alperin Schwartz: Before I sat down to watch 'Big Miracle' directed by Ken Kwapis, I knew two things. That I was going to cry and that I was going to love this film. And I am happy to report... that's exactly what happened.

'Big Miracle' is a true story that takes place in 1988.

Ted Danson Gives His Thoughts On Joining The Cast Of 'CSI'

9/20/2011 4:00pm EDT
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
There’s no stopping the CSI juggernaut, not even the loss of the lead investigator. When Grissom (William Petersen) left, Langston (Laurence Fishburne) was there to lead the team. Now he’s left and D.B. Russell (Ted Danson) is leading the crime scene investigators of Las Vegas.

We’ve seen Danson get serious recently as Arthur Frobisher in Damages. He’s still most famous as a comedian, in Cheers, Becker and still Curb Your Enthusiasm and Bored to Death. Danson left his Martha’s Vineyard summer home early to get to work on CSI and speak with the Television Critics Association about it thi...

Ted Danson Recalls Finding A Skull In The Woods

8/7/2011 8:30am EDT
Ted Danson
Actor Ted Danson had a childhood brush with forensics when he found a skull in the woods near his home.

The star, who recently signed up to join the cast of hit TV drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, is the son of an anthropologist but even he didn't know what to do when he found decapitated remains while playing with pals.

He tells WENN, "I grew up around skulls and went on digs with my dad and once, when I was 11 years old, I was out playing with my buddies in the woods and we were playing army, and we came across a skull that had a patch of hair here and a little round hole here an...

8/3/2011 6:30pm EDT
Marg Helgenberger
CSI regular Marg Helgenberger has announced she'll be leaving the forensics drama at the end of the hit show's 12th season.

The actress, who has portrayed Catherine Willows on the show for over a decade, has revealed she had planned to exit the cast earlier this year, but was persuaded to stay on.

Laurence Fishburne, who replaced CSI producer and star William Petersen, quit the show in May. Beloved TV star Ted Danson will take over from him when the popular drama returns later this year.

Ted Danson To Replace Laurence Fishburne On 'CSI'

7/13/2011 3:33pm EDT
Ted Danson
Former Cheers star Ted Danson is stepping in to replace Laurence Fishburne on hit TV drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

The Matrix actor's contract on the series expired at the end of season 11 earlier this year, two years after he was cast to replace series regular William Petersen.

TV bosses have now appointed Danson as the show's chief investigator in a bid to boost ratings, and executive producer Don McGill knew the former Cheers star was perfect for the show as soon as his name was brought up.

He says, "From the moment we all started talking about the role, it was clear he cou...

4/14/2011 8:06am EDT
Whoopi Goldberg
Actress Whoopi Goldberg has only ever been in love once - and the perfect romance wasn't with one of her three husbands.

The Ghost star split from first husband Alvin Martin in 1979 after six years of marriage and went on to wed David Claessen in 1986. That union lasted two years and she later exchanged vows with Lyle Trachtenberg in 1994, before the pair divorced just a year later.

Goldberg opened up about her romance issues on talk show Piers Morgan Tonight on Wednesday night and revealed to the British host that she has only ever loved one man in her life - and she never married him....

The star was thrilled to learn she'd be co-starring with Danson in new film "Everybody Loves Whales" - and she couldn't believe her luck when she arrived at her hotel to find the man of her dreams checking in ahead of her.

Gobble, Gobble: Time To Serve Up TV Thanksgiving Classics

11/19/2010 1:45pm EST
How I Met Your Mother
With the holiday approaching next week, we'd like to know: what are your favorite Thanksgiving episodes? The very best will always be up for debate – maybe you think it's Brad Pitt's appearance on 'Friends,' or perhaps you think it's a drama from the 1950s. To others, 'A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving' holds a special place in their hearts.

Most of my favorites come from comedies – maybe because half-hour sitcoms just know how to nail the absurdities of holiday stress, drinking too much Thanksgiving cheer, and that ridiculously long wait for the Turkey thermometer to pop.

Narrowing it down ...

Cameron Diaz, Robert Redford, Sting and Lenny Kravitz are lending their support to a star-studded TV telethon to raise funds for the state of Louisiana following the devastating BP oil spill in April.

TV bosses at CNN have answered actor Ian Somerhalder's call for action to help boost donations to the areas in the Gulf of Mexico worst affected by the huge catastrophe, which has been ruled the worst environmental disaster in American history.

The Vampire Diaries star, who hails from Covington, near to the coastline where oil is washing up daily, issued the plea to his Hollywood pals earlie...

Ted Danson Talks Life, Work & More In GQ Interview

1/21/2010 4:41pm EST
Ted Danson in GQ
In the new issue of GQ Ted Danson opens up about his acting style and how at age 62 he still wants to be relevant.

Before shooting Damages, Danson went to see a drama coach whom he credits with opening up his looser, darker sides: "We read some lines together, and he told me basically: 'You're a nice actor; you know where this is supposed to go, and you're going to take me there. But you're playing an arrogant billionaire who could give a rat's ass about anybody else. Maybe you'll say one line and you wont' say the next. Fuck 'em.' There's an arrogance and entitlement to my acting st...

'Curb Your Enthusiasm' Recap: 'The Hot Towel'

10/12/2009 8:40am EDT
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Larry David took a break from 'Seinfeld' this week to deliver an episode in the classic 'Curb' motif of his inability to successfully maneuver through any social situation.

It's not that Larry's intentions weren't good throughout the episode. Sure, he ruined a present he gave to Ted and Mary by horning in on their dinner, but at least he got them a nice gift. He keeps interrupting his doctor in his spare time, but that's mostly by accident. Yes, he massively offended Christian Slater, but at least he was trying to ensure everyone else at the party got their fair share of caviar. He m...

Ted Danson Is The Best Thing About HBO's Disappointing 'Bored To Death'

9/18/2009 10:46am EDT
Bored to Death
HBO's unconventional new comedy Bored to Death, starring Jason Schwartzman, Ted Danson and Zach Galifianakis, left us feeling a little bored. The show has great potential with a brilliant cast, but it failed to get us hooked. We're not ready to throw away the show all together, however. Here's hoping the remaining episodes will have stronger dialogue and more guts.

The show succeeds in originality with the main character doing freelance detective work, which gives the cast a lot to play with. But it seems to come up empty sometimes. Jason plays Jonathan Ames, a young Brooklyn writer who...

Heather Burns Discusses The New HBO Series 'Bored To Death'

9/17/2009 11:00am EDT
Heather Burns
Bored to Death is a promising new HBO comedy that stars an excellent cast of comedic players in the form of Jason Schwartzman (The Darjeeling Limited, Rushmore), Ted Danson (Cheers), Zach Galifianakis (Hangover) and Heather Burns (Two Weeks Notice, Miss Congeniality). We recently had the pleasure of talking with the main players, Heather Burns, and here's what she had to say about Bored to Death.

Eric Stromsvold: Based off of the trailers it appears as though you're playing a character named Leah, who is Ray's girlfriend. What else is going on there?

Heather Burns: Well, she's Ray's...

Similar Story Smackdown: Which Hollywood Flicks Came Out On Top?

4/27/2009 11:57am EDT
Saving Private Ryan
So, have you seen this year's comedy about an overweight, overzealous, loser-y mall cop who takes his job way too seriously and is hopelessly in love with a fellow shopping center employee? If you're not sure whether I'm referring to January's hit Paul Blart: Mall Cop or the newest Seth Rogen comedy Observe and Report (in theaters now), don't be too hard on yourself: Both flicks have eerily similar plotlines. This isn't the first time two films with the same subject matter have been released within a year of one another; Hollywood has a talent for redundancy (see: recycling and ripping off)...
