'Lost' Cast And Creators Considering 10-Year Anniversary Reunion

July 30th, 2013 12:07am EDT
Lost
Next year's San Diego Comic-Con could be home to a Lost reunion.

Amusingly, several Lost cast members were at this year's Comic-Con anyway, promoting their current projects. Michael Emerson, for example, was promoting his hit shot Person of Interest with J.J. Abrams.

Emerson told Zap2it, "I've heard some murmurings of some kind of reunion. Whether it will take place at Comic-Con or not, I'm not sure. No matter what happens, if anything happens, it will be really hard logistically to put it together."

Fellow Lost cast member Henry Ian Cusick was at the convention as well, chatting about u...

scandal cast
Shonda Rhimes’ newest creation, ABC’s political thriller “Scandal” (based on the real life of President George H.W. Bush’s aid, Judy Smith) wants you to believe that Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington), a corporate fixer with some surprising and sexy ties to the President, is a superhero with a chic trench coat and stilettos instead of a mask and a cape. She can intimidate gun-wielding Ukranian kidnappers with a single monologue, identify liars with her fine-tuned internal polygraph and is armed with a set of fabulously lethal cheekbones. To gain entrance to her high-end batcave, you must be a...

NBC Fall Season Preview: Spies, CIA Plots And Outsourcing

September 20th, 2010 11:45am EDT
NBC Fall Preview
NBC is likely getting tired of being referred to as "fourth place NBC." Last year's Jay Leno experiment was clearly a disaster and served as a boon for TBS, which won the Conan sweepstakes. This fall, NBC has fresher programming. With aging favorites and risky new underdogs, does the network have a shot at moving up the ratings ladder, even to third place? Time will tell. Stranger things have happened. Here's a look at what new shows could make the grade and what's in store for old favorites.

Enigmatic Final Scene Of 'LOST' Added By Network - Not Producers

May 27th, 2010 11:05pm EDT
LOST
The final scene shown during ABC's Sunday night broadcast of the "LOST" series finale was added to the show by the network - not executive producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse - according to a report on Entertainment Weekly.com.

The last images of Oceanic Flight 815 wreckage strewn across the beach with only the soothing sound of crashing waves in the distance quickly became one of the show's biggest mysteries.

But a spokesman for ABC told the L.A. Times, "The images shown during the end credits of the 'Lost' finale, which included shots of Oceanic 815 on a deserted beach, were not p...

May 6th, 2010 2:29pm EDT
Lost
Entertainment Weekly has been obsessing over "Lost" since it first premiered in 2004, and now that the end is near they have put together the ultimate handbook to get viewers ready for the remaining episodes before the series signs off. From the big finale preview (Entertainment Weekly was on set) to recaps of every season to an oral history of how it all began, this week's special collector's issue has the entire Island covered.

For the filming of the pivotal sequence that's part of the final 10 minutes of "Lost's" two-hour series finale, nearly two dozen cast members are in attendance, ...

LOST Recap: 'The Last Recruit'

April 21st, 2010 1:15pm EDT
LOST Recap
There are only three episodes of LOST left before the big series finale on Sunday, May 23rd. There's going to have to be a support group for us when it's gone. I wonder how soon after the show will the five stages of grief start. I'm already in the denial phase over and over again. In any case, the show is taking a one week vacation and will be back in May. Then it's just a one way road to the series finale. What are the LOST fans going to do? Everyone else will probably be thankful never to hear anything about polar bears on an Island again. They don't know it yet, but they're just a compl...

'LOST' Recap - 'Everybody Loves Hugo'

April 14th, 2010 2:31pm EDT
Lost
One of the best parts about a show like "LOST" is that even after years, fans still remember the details. For example, it may have been the end of season two when Michael shot Libby and Ana Lucia, but in season six this horrific act of betrayal is still very fresh to LOST fans. Michael tried to seek redemption in season four by going on the freighter back to the Island, and once he accomplished what he was meant to, he died in the freighter explosion. Now it seems like Michael didn't really get the redemption he's looking for, because he's still stuck on that damn Island ... this time as a ...

'Lost' Finale Cloaked In Secrecy With Mystery Scripts

April 14th, 2010 10:30am EDT
lost
The producers of Lost are determined to keep the series finale a surprise - they've planned a "missing scene" which will keep the stars of the show in suspense until the day of filming.

The cast is in the process of shooting the last episodes of the desert island drama, ahead of the final installment, which will air in May.

Cast member Daniel Dae Kim revealed last month that the show's climax is "incredibly powerful" - but new top secret scripts mean the actor doesn't know the true ending.

Henry Ian Cusick, who plays Desmond Hume on the show, says, "All the actors have the scripts tha...

Desmond-Hume-lost
LOST knows its audience, and it knows that there's no character that fans love more than Desmond Hume. Oh you may say another character is your favorite, but the very possibility of Des dying or not ending up with his long lost love Penny is unthinkable. He's come a long way from the hatch, but it looks like his happily ever after wasn't going to stick. Sorry, brutha. Desmond episodes are almost always game changers in some way, and this one was no exception. It took place almost entirely in the sideways world, but it reassured skeptical fans that the sideways flashes are necessary to the...

Our Favorite TV Ensembles

June 12th, 2008 9:00am EDT
Lost
An ensemble cast is a group of actors in which each character/actor is assigned an equal level of importance to the story. Sometimes even if there is an established "main character," a show can be considered an ensemble because individuals are treated with the same care and development as everyone else on the show.

This sort of cast style gives the audience a chance to connect with several different characters rather than just one; if a viewer does not like one of the characters or cannot relate to them, there will be several more to choose from. It creates very broad storylines and v...

As Usual, 'Lost' Brings Up A Lot Of Questions

February 18th, 2008 12:33pm EST
Lost
If "Lost" fans have not heard the good news regarding the writers' strike they must be living under a rock because the writers are back, baby, and with them they bring up to five new episodes of our favorite mystery Island. It will fall short of the originally expected 16 episodes, but 13 is better than eight. With that in mind, let's talk about how utterly stunning last week's episode, "The Economist," was.

A new member of the Oceanic 6 has been revealed, and it is no other than our "Rambo of the Losties," Mr. Sayid Jarrah (Naveen Andrews). He does make it off the Island, and unlike ...

'Lost' Recap: The Season Promises To Be Faster Paced, Brutal & Desperate

February 1st, 2008 11:37am EST
Lost
The most innovative show on television is back with a vengeance, and it is promising to be better than ever. "Lost" is one of the few that always delivers, and although what it delivers is not necessarily answers or explanations, it does keep us hooked, fascinated, and emotionally invested.

This highly anticipated season four premiere was named "The Beginning of the End" in reference to Ben's (Michael Emerson) comment to Jack (Matthew Fox) that it would be the beginning of the end if they called the believed rescuers. Never had the dangerous, manipulative leader of the Others seemed s...

Comic-To-Film Dream Casts: Miley Cyrus As Spider-Girl & More

Miley Cyrus
Comic book movies have steadily crept into mainstream media, and with the addition of some extremely popular fantasy-based television shows like "Lost" and "Heroes," the strange and unfamiliar are becoming more widely accepted.

I've been a long-time fan of comics, mini-series and graphic novels, and seeing some of my favorite characters live on the big screen can be both exhilarating and horrifying. It is just a matter of time before most of them are made into movies, and because of this I put forth a modest proposal for a few dream casting and origin/first movie plot choices. In some...
