Many of the programs you've loved probably have an equally entertaining book behind them; you just haven't discovered it yet.

To that end, we've compiled this list of six great books that you might not know were behind six great film and television projects - in the hopes th...

'Paperboy' Sex Scene Between Nicole Kidman & John Cusack 'Scared' Zac Efron

9/24/2012 10:38am EDT
Nicole Kidman
Zac Efron was a little freaked out by co-star Nicole Kidman's intensity on the set of his new movie "The Paperboy." He admits he was looking for a project with depth and risk, and he definitely got it in Lee Daniels' new film.

The movie centers on Hillary Van Wetter (John Cusack), who is convicted of killing a seedy sheriff. He is given a new life when pen pal Charlotte Bless (Kidman) enlists the aid of two journalists to try and get him off death row.

In one explicit scene, Van Wetter is so turned on by Bless he masturbates into his underwear as Efron's Jack Jansen watches.

He tells WENN, "It sort of felt like we were as far away from the world as we could be in on these cobblestone streets. We were shooting a lot of nights and it felt like I was playing a vampire... I don't know if I was disagreeable...

The Raven
John Cusack stars as legendary mystery writer Edgar Allan Poe in The Raven, which opens in theaters tomorrow, and so far the reviews of the film are tell-tale signs that point to it being a disappointment.

The film reportedly takes place in the week before Poe's death, when a series of murders lead to the writer joining with a Baltimore detective to stop a psychotic serial killer who is using Poe's classic tales of the macabre to carry out a series of gruesome murders.

And so far the reviews aren't too good.

"Cusack makes a terrible Poe," says David Germain of the Associated Press, who a...

Actor John Cusack lost 25 pounds for his role as Edgar Allen Poe in new movie The Raven, because he wanted to be just as "gaunt" as the famed author.

The Being John Malkovich star underwent quite the physical transformation before heading to Serbia to shoot the movie, which revolves around Poe helping to solve a series of murders inspired by his own stories.

And Cusack admits he took up a restricted diet and rigorous work-out routine in the months before filming so he could best resemble the writer's angular figure.

He says, "I just worked with a nutritionist and I thought, because of...
