15 Famous Scottish Actors

September 18th, 2014 10:58am EDT
15 Famous Scottish Actors
As the citizens of Scotland decide whether or not to declare independence from the United Kingdom, we're saluting some of the best actors from the country known for wonderful things such as kilts, scotch, bagpipes and Loch Ness monster.

Gerard Butler was born in Glasgow and was raised in the town of Paisley. One of his first roles was for the Scottish Youth Theater in a production of "Oliver!" He later put his acting ambition aside and enrolled in a law program at Glasgow University. After graduating, he moved to Los Angeles, Calif., and kicked off his showbiz career as an extra in "The B...

Fashion Fails: Kate Upton, Tom Parker, Nicole Richie, More
It's Fashion Fail Time! That means we take a break from letting you know how good all of your favorite stars look to show the other side of fashion: the fails!

If there's one thing we think looks really tacky, it's animal print on clothing – leave it for the animals. Even the beautiful Kate Upton can't pull off leopard spots, although the black cravat and belt-less black dress pants aren't helping. Check out another look at Kate's fashion fail as well as the others we spotted this week:

Fashion Fails: Katy Perry's Flea Market Find, Alan Cumming's Kilt, Men Without Ties

Katie Perry
It's Fashion Fail Time! That means we take a break from letting you know how good all of your favorite stars look to show the other side of fashion: the fails!

Hopefully, Katy Perry found this "gem" of a dress at a flea market, because it's at least two decades out of date. Either that, or Perry has signed on to represent a new line of screen-less phones and... Spearmint gum?

I have no problems with kilts, even if Alan Cumming's has a very odd, almost computer-like pattern. But we will never, I repeat, NEVER condone dress shirts with the arms cut off.

I can't believe Matthew McCo...

Macy's 2009 Thanksgiving Day Parade: Meh

So, in the spirit of Turkey Day and all that is holy in the holiday season traditions, I got up too early to watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade along with an equally weary Liz Lewis. This year was pretty run of the mill.

The route changed, to the chagrin of all those with pricey Broadway real estate who look forward to this fall classic, and the cast of Glee was glaringly absent. With NBC bringing out some real...

Comic book movies have steadily crept into mainstream media, and with the addition of some extremely popular fantasy-based television shows like "Lost" and "Heroes," the strange and unfamiliar are becoming more widely accepted.

I've been a long-time fan of comics, mini-series and graphic novels, and seeing some of my favorite characters live on the big screen can be both exhilarating and horrifying. It is just a matter of time before most of them are made into movies, and because of this I put forth a modest proposal for a few dream casting and origin/first movie plot choices. In some...
