Eddie Griffin and Tracy Morgan In The Running for Role Of ODB In Biopic

November 2nd, 2011 12:37pm EDT
Eddie Griffin
Ol' Dirty Bastard's life story is still coming to a theater near you … eventually. The rapper also known as Dirt McGirt, Big Baby Jesus or just simply ODB died in 2004, and in 2009 his cousin and fellow Wu-Tang Clan member RZA mentioned a biopic was a possibility.

In a recent interview with XXL, RZA dished some details on the project, and it sounds like it's moving into high gear. Not only that, it's attracted the attention of "30 Rock" star Tracy Morgan and actor Eddie Griffin.

It looks like Griffin is the more likely choice to play ODB, for now, if only because the two were friends. R...

Meg Ryan & John Mellencamp
Odd couple Meg Ryan and John Mellencamp spent the day together shopping in Los Angeles yesterday. At one point the pair put their arms around each other while looking at men's clothing.

Meg might have had a hand in John's recent divorce, thanks in part to her new partnership with the singer for a musical they are working on.

Meg's personal life has been slightly controversial. It appears she likes to get involved with the men she works with. In 2000, she had a fling with "Proof of Life" co-star Russell Crowe while she was still married to Dennis Quaid. Ryan divorced Quaid a year later.

'The Next Three Days' Movie Review

November 16th, 2010 10:20am EST
The Next Three Days
To be honest with everyone, I didn’t have plans to screen this film at all. It was something that lingered within me for a bit and I wondered why if I happen to enjoy Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks and pretty intrigued to see how talent like Liam Neeson, Olivia Wilde and Theater-Vet, Brian Dennehy would be used in this film – seriously with a film hashing out all these names and directed by Paul Haggis (‘CRASH’) – who I happen admire and respect – I really couldn’t find a reason. Perhaps it may be that I’ve already seen the typical clichéd story-line regarding innocence, incarceration, s...

Harry Potter
Last week was thoroughly busy for me watching movies. I posted reviews for “Unstoppable” and for “Morning Glory.” Definitely check them out if you have not already.

I also had the chance to see the Danny Boyle film “127 Hours” starring James Franco. The gut wrenching survival tale is a powerful experience that is both visually stimulating and emotionally jarring. Boyle makes incredibly effective use of split screens and Franco’s performance contains surprising levity despite his life threatening situation. My Grade: A

Harry Potter fans will be thrilled this week to see the...

Russell Crowe Is No Longer A Sex Symbol

The brooding Russell Crowe, 46, really made an impression on his fans when he hit the big screen as Maximus in "Gladiator" 10 years ago. Unlike George Clooney (who has somehow aged to perfection at age 49), Russ looks a little too tubby and a little too gray around the temples.

Crowe's recent big-screen adventure "Robin Hood" had a disappointing performance at the box office. His rep was forced to shoot down reports that the actor was digitally slimmed down for the role.
