'Road Trip' Arrives On Blu-ray May 15

5/5/2012 7:39am EDT
Road Trip
In the raunchy comedy "Road Trip," Josh (Breckin Meyer), a student at a college in Ithaca, NY, videotapes his one-night stand with beautiful sorority girl Beth (Amy Smart). A few days later, Josh discovers that one of his friends accidentally mailed the homemade porn tape to his girlfriend, Tiffany (Rachel Blanchard), who is spending some time with her family in Austin, TX.

Josh and his friends Barry (Tom Green), Kyle (D.J. Qualls), E.L. (Seann William Scott), and Rubin (Paulo Costanzo) borrow a car and hit the road in a desperate bid to intercept the tape before Tiffany loads it into her ...

TV On DVD: 'Royal Pains: Season 2'

Royal Pains
Universal Studios Home Entertainment recently released the sophomore season of USA's Royal Pains on DVD (just in time for the premiere of season three, of course!) The four-disc set contains all eighteen episodes from season two plus a handful of bonus features. Here's my review.

The Show

I checked out Royal Pains when it first premiered, and it was the first USA original series that didn't catch on with me. It wasn't necessarily bad, but not a strong enough show to grab my attention. Digging into season two, that's still the case. It's not a misfire, just not my cup of tea. (I kn...

A Royal Mess on Royal Pains

Diagnosis: Breakup? All's not sunny for Hamptons doc Hank Lawson (Mark Feuerstein) and his rather coldhearted girlfriend, Dr. Emily Peck (Anastasia Griffith), on tonight's Royal Pains when the two physicians clash. "They are going to have their biggest fight yet," reveals executive producer Andrew Lenchewski. "It's going to start as something medical that illuminates the larger divide between them, and the types of relationships that they each want to be in."

And leave it to Hank's dear old dad, Eddie (Henry Winkler), to further complicate matters...

'Royal Pains' Set Visit, Q&A & Season Two Spotlight

Royal Pains
USA's famous tagline "Characters Welcome" means that it is a channel not only dedicated to entertaining audiences, but that the entertainment might be a little more quirky than most television. This is a welcome change from stations that churn out the same mind numbing procedurals year after year. With Monk, In Plain Sight, Psych, and Burn Notice, they've introduced amusing and memorable characters who come from popular genres (detective, spy, action) with a unique spin.

One of their newest successes is a show titled Royal Pains, a medical show set in the Hamptons that blends a little Hous...

Give USA Network's 'Royal Pains' A Try

6/2/2009 9:30am EDT
Royal Pains
On Thursday, June 4, a new original series on USA will premiere titled Royal Pains, starring Mark Feuerstein, Paulo Costanzo, Reshma Shetty, and Jill Flint. I got a chance to see the pilot episode a little early, and the show might not quite join the "Characters Welcome USA" slogan right at first. Hank Lawson (Feuerstein) is not as memorable or charismatic as Adrian Monk or Michael Weston, but he's a good man you want to like put in an unfair position.

As a rising star in the medical world, Hank makes a call to save the life of a young man instead of focusing on a powerful hospital pa...

Nurse Jackie
There are many things to love about summer - the beach, the sunlight, the smiling faces all around you, and more reasons to get out and about. This means your television may be left lonely at home, but with the majority of fan favorite TV shows off the air, does it matter? Don't be silly, there are plenty of summer TV programs worth watching ... and some new ones you might just want to keep an eye on.

Here's a look at some returning and new shows for the summer of 2009, and for full schedule lists you can check out each channel's website!

Mark Feuerstein To Star In USA Network's 'Royal Pains'

1/7/2009 10:16am EST
Mark Feuerstein
USA Network announced today that it has picked up the original series "Royal Pains" (working title), starring Mark Feuerstein. The 11-episode order is the first original series production from Universal Cable Productions for USA Network. "Royal Pains" will also star Paulo Costanzo, Jill Flint and Reshma Shetty.

"Royal Pains" centers on young doctor Hank Lawson (Feuerstein) who seems to have it all ... thriving career, beautiful girlfriend, and swank NYC apartment. With one fateful and principled decision in the ER, Hank loses it all.

Months later, single and blackballed from the...
