Salt director Phillip Noyce keeps you on the edge of your seat with this Columbia Pictures masterpiece action-thriller Salt, written by Kurt Wimmer and Brian Helgeland a movie rewritten for Angela Jolie.

Noyce was selected by producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Amy Pascal at Sony because of his work in prior political films as Director of Clear and Present Danger, and Patriot Games. Leonardo DiCaprio's new movie "Inception" is still dreaming up big numbers at the box office, keeping Angelina Jolie's spy thriller "Salt" off the top of the film charts.

Both films fared well at the box office, but it was DiCaprio's mind-bending movie that scored a second week at the top with a strong $43.5 million and took its 10-day tally to a whopping $143.7 million.

"Salt" debuted at two with $36.5 million.

Animated movies "Despicable Me," "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" and "Toy Story 3" round out the new top five.
