Stephen Colbert Ends 'The Colbert Report' With Epic Show Finale
After nine years and 1,447 episodes of "The Colbert Report," it all ended last night.

Stephen Colbert grabbed his Captain America shield, climbed into Santa’s sleigh next to Alex Trebek and Abraham Lincoln, and flew off into eternity.

For nearly a decade, Stephen Colbert kept audiences informed and entertained as the ringmaster of "The Colbert Report." The final episode touched on some running gags over the years such as his sponsorship of Olympic speed-skating and starting his own Super PAC (Americans for a Better Tomorrow, Tomorrow).

The finale followed the show’s usual form. Colbert m...

Falcon was featured Captain America: The Winter Soldier and played by Anthony Mackie, but don't expect Anthony to play the hero any time soon.

Stephen Colbert Hands Over PAC To Jon Stewart, Forms Presidential Exploratory Commitee

Stephen Colbert, The Colbert Report
After teasing a big announcement Wednesday night, Stephen Colbert used his time on the Colbert Report to close a loophole that would have kept him from running for President.

Current rules dictate that a candidate cannot also be the head of a Political Action Committee, nor can he or she tell the committee how to spend its money. Thanks to Citizens United, PACs can take infinite amounts of donations from corporations because they are now considered "people "in the eyes of American law, so having a PAC supporting you means big cash as a candidate.

So, Colbert simply tra...
