Do These Hollywood Actors Look Better Or Worse With Facial Hair?

May 7th, 2014 3:00pm EDT
Do These Hollywood Actors Look Better Or Worse With Facial Hair?
Facial hair can make a man look sophisticated or like a slob. Charming or a creep. Dozens of A-list actors in Hollywood have tried a beard on for size, so tell us – do these guys look better or worse with their facial hair?

For Argo, Ben Affleck made like a hockey player and kept a beard for "the playoffs," AKA awards season. He shaved it off at an Oscars after-party when his film won Best Picture.

George Clooney, like Ben Affleck, grew a "producer beard" while Argo was striving for awards. He also rocked just a moustache for a bit, but for the last year or so he's been clean-shav...

May 4th, 2014 10:01am EDT
George Clooney
She is brilliant, breathtaking and not about to go Hollywood. This week's issue of PEOPLE features exclusive photos and details examining how Beirut-born lawyer Amal Alamuddin, 36, ended the reign of world-famous bachelor George Clooney (who turns 53 on May 6). Although the betrothed pair have not yet made an official engagement announcement, they let their joy - and that ring, an emerald-cut diamond estimated at over 7 carats, which Clooney himself helped design - do the talking. "They want the people they love to know that this is real," says a source in Clooney's circle, "and that they p...

13 Greatest Actors Turned Critically Acclaimed Directors
Very few actors are afforded success and fame in the brutally competitive film landscape. Those who miraculously do make have trouble-holding relevancy, as Hollywood trades aging veteran actors for relative and good-looking newcomers immediately destined to be the next big thing. But these screen presences who’ve been able to hold Hollywood’s attention even into their later years have also found a strong niche behind the camera, directing Oscar worthy films and Hollywood blockbusters that encapsulate audiences’ attention while reaping critics’ acclaim. Move over Scorsese and Spielberg, beca...

Shining Stars And Falling Stars: George Clooney And Rihanna

Shining Stars And Falling Stars: George Clooney And Rihanna
Shining Star: George Clooney - Kudos to George Clooney for stepping far away from the label of "eternal bachelor" and making his woman, Amal Alamuddin, a homemade meal and popping the question. We actually never thought we would see the day where this would come to fruition.

Anytime any woman has ever mentioned the words "marriage" or "babies" to George, he has left them in the dust. Now, he is mature enough to settle down with someone who is actually smarter than a box of rocks.

Falling Star: Rihanna - We don't give RiRi our "Falling Star" label lightly, primarily because she has s...

George Clooney & Vegas Hotel Magnate Steve Wynn Get In Heated Argument Over Obamacare

April 24th, 2014 12:35pm EDT
George Clooney
George Clooney and hotel tycoon Steve Wynn got into a heated argument at a restaurant inside Wynn's Encore hotel in Las Vegas earlier this month, which ended with the actor storming out of a dinner with the casino boss.

Clooney was at Wynn's table at the Botero restaurant and during a heated argument over Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act (ACA or "Obamacare"), Wynn referred to the president as "an a**hole," which was the last straw for Clooney, who abruptly left.

The two friends (former friends, we now assume) sit at opposite sides of the political spectrum, and the fallout from the argu...

According to, the pair also rented out an entire bowling alley where they stayed until 4 a.m. the next morning. The pair was also seen leaving Nobu restaurant in Mayfair on Sunday and hanging out at London's celebrity hotspot Cir...

Michael Douglas, 69 and his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones, 44, took a temporary "break" from their 13-year marriage in August. They had their doubters when they wed due to their vast age difference but proved people wrong after staying together for more than a decade - a triumph in Hollywood.

In November, Douglas told reporters, "I hope to resolve my marriage in a positive fashion."

We're not sure what that means - have a peaceful divorce? Get back together? Who knows.

'Gravity' Is The Best Cinematic Experiences In Years

October 8th, 2013 3:11pm EDT
In case you’ve been away from life, you might not know that Gravity has been lauded by critics as not just the best movie of the year, but one of the best cinematic experiences in years. I think that second point is more important, because Gravity does something truly unique. It provides a film so intensely cinematic, that you really do need to see it on the largest screen possible. Waiting for home video is just not an option here. Torrenting the film and watching it on your computer? Well, you’re an asshole.

Gravity tells the story of two astronauts, Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock), the rook...

Review: 'Gravity' Is A Visual Masterpiece With Brilliant Acting

October 4th, 2013 1:06pm EDT
There are a few things that really scare me. Being buried alive is one, as well as being locked in a room with snakes and rats. But after watching the brilliant heart stopping thriller 'Gravity,' I can now say being stranded in space is on the list.

'Gravity' is directed by Alfonso Curaron ('Children of Men'), who co-wrote the script with his son Jonas. This film is not only breathtaking but ground breaking. When I left the theatre, I definitely felt that I'd been to deep space - that's how amazing the visual effects are. For those of you who are unfamiliar with what it's like in space, th...

Clooney's 'Monuments Men' Trailer Promises A Unique And New WWII Adventure

August 8th, 2013 10:00pm EDT
Monuments Men
George Clooney has a surprising knack when it comes to directoral talent. After his deep, compelling political thriller 'The Ides of March' we have been given the first trailer for his upcoming work, 'Monuments Men' a new twist on an age old genre.

World War II has no shortage of coverage on TV or in the theater. Saving Private Ryan redefined what a war movie should be, while Band of Brothers dove into the deeper psychology of how war affects men. Monuments Men is neither of those, both tragically, and thankfully. Check out the trailer below to see what we mean:

It tells the true story ...
