Television and film actor Shawn Christian was born on December 18, 1965, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Shawn is a graduate of Rogers High School and Ferris State University. After college he moved to Chicago to pursue an acting career. He started by appearing in commercials and also worked with the improvisational company "Improv Olympic." In 1994, Shawn landed the role as Mike Kasnoff on the soap opera "As The World Turns," and also that year he was the first male spokesman on "Star Search." Soon after he starred as the boyfriend of Holly Marie Combs' character on the WB television series "Charmed" and went to star as Johnny on the short-lived WB series "Summerland," where he acted with his step-daughter Taylor Cole. When he's not working, Shawn enjoys racquetball, basketball, football and weight training, as well as many water sports.
