Following the horrifying bomb blasts during the Boston Marathon, Ben Affleck and a number of other celebrities have reached out to fellow Massachusetts natives to lend their support, thoughts and prayers.

Two explosions ripped through the Boylston Street area of Boston on Monday; three people died and more than 140 were injured.

Affleck, who grew up in Cambridge, wrote on Facebook:  "Such a senseless and tragic day. My family and I send our love to our beloved and resilient Boston."

Chiklis penned the song with bandmate Bob Pascarella for the Sundance film HIGH School at the request of the film’s producers, who were looking for a backdrop to the film’s coming-of-age storyline. Filming on the Fantastic Four sequel in Vancouver, Canada, was shut down yesterday by a snowstorm. Cast members Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis were told to stay in their hotel rooms when freezing temperatures brought shooting to a halt.
