Taraji P. Henson And 'Person Of Interest' Cast Give Insight On Season 3

November 20th, 2013 2:54am EST
'Person Of Interest' Cast
The 'POI' cast appeared more subdued when I interviewed them at NYCC this year, contrasted with last year. There were hints in their interactions with each other and their responses to questions which hinted at a coming change. While last year, Taraji P. Henson and Kevin Chapman hopped onto the red carpet and traveled between tables like two Mardi Gras revelers, this year they appeared quieter. Although I can guess why, I still appreciated sitting down with the stars of my favorite TV show.

I've enjoyed Taraji P. Henson's portrayal since day one. I loved when CBS increased her interaction ...

Q&A: 'Person of Interest' Star Kevin Chapman

January 26th, 2012 11:00am EST
Kevin Chapman
Veteran actor Kevin Chapman is one of the stars of CBS' new hit Person of Interest, but that's just scratching the surface of his lengthy resume.

Chapman plays Detective Lionel Fusco, a corrupt cop who functions as an NYPD source for John Reese (Jim Caviezel). It's a role that has brought Chapman some much-deserved attention. But die-hard TV fans will have seen his face a dozen times before.

It was Chapman who brought real menace (and yet, surprising humanity on at least one occasion) to the role of an Irish mob boss on Showtime's underrated drama series Brotherhood. He's also appeared on...

Blue Bloods
CBS announced today its new 2011-2012 primetime schedule, ordering five new series and making key time-period moves for CSI and The Good Wife to strengthen its already top-rated primetime lineup.

Rewind Recaps - Brotherhood: "Things Have Changed 1:7-8"

April 23rd, 2011 5:00pm EDT
Brotherhood
The first season of Brotherhood had a finale that was pretty much perfect. The end of season two couldn't quite meet that high standard, but in a way, that belies the more tumultuous nature of the show's sophomore year.

When last we left Providence, things had gotten kind of ugly. They've only gotten worse since then. The one-time informant Marty Trio is no longer with us thanks to Colin, Freddie Cork is on the run, and everyone else is up in arms. Moe Riley (I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm amazed this guy has a pulse) meets with Michael, who wants to know where Fr...

Rewind Recaps - Brotherhood: "One Too Many Mornings 3:4-8"

April 9th, 2011 5:00pm EDT
Brotherhood
Last month, we cracked season one of Brotherhood. Welcome to season two.

The near-perfect conclusion to season one is a tough act to follow. In fact, the entirety of season one is one of the best self-contained stories I've ever seen told on television; if the creative team had wanted to quit while they were ahead I would have understood. Thankfully, they didn't.

It's a few months after season one. Tommy (Jason Clarke) has a lot of anger to deal with over wife Eileen's (Annabeth Gish) infidelities, so he decides to take it out on a wall with a sledgehammer. Though he and Eileen tr...

Rewind Recaps - Brotherhood: "Ecclesiastes 7:2"

March 19th, 2011 2:21pm EDT
Brotherhood
Grief is one of the hardest things in human existence to deal with. It's also one of the most universal. Brotherhood's ninth episode tackles it head-on, weaving an emotionally moving story without shying away from the more suspect undertones that have always colored the series.

The episode starts with a horrific bang, when Freddie Cork's son Ricky jumps from an overpass, causing a vicious traffic accident that claims several lives, including those of Marty Trio's wife and Carl Hobbs, the mailman with whom Eileen had been cheating on Tommy. As far as huge accident scenes go, I don't...

'Unstoppable' Review: 'Two Jews On Film' Aren't On The Same Track (Video)

November 11th, 2010 11:00am EST
Unstoppable
'Unstoppable', inspired by actual events, is one big adrenaline rush, thanks to director Tony Scott's ability to mix non-stop action with story telling that captures ordinary people placed in extraordinary circumstances. A veteran train engineer (Denzel Washington) and a young conductor (Chris Pine) race against the clock to stop an unmanned runaway train and prevent a disaster in a heavily populated town. The first half of the film is nothing to write home about - mostly setting up the action and meeting the characters...But half way through, 'Unstoppable' really picks up steam and it's...
