Henry Cavill Reprises His Role As Superman In 'Dawn Of Justice'

July 5th, 2014 5:00pm EDT
Batman v. Superman
Zac Snyder teased us this past Spring with a sober, depressing photo of Batman as portrayed by Ben Affleck. Now, we have confirmation that Superman in the 2016 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice' will indeed be played by Henry Cavill. Warner Bros released this picture yesterday from the set of Dawn of Justice.

While the tone of this picture isn't quite as somber as Ben Affleck's Bat-pic, it still has a decidedly dark feel to it. Cavill's Superman costume hasn't really undergone any radical changes, and the overall look and feel of the character remains much the same as it was in the l...

Snyder revealed to the website that getting Batman into the highly anticipated 2016 Man of Steel sequel wasn't a priority at first, but it became clear that the character fit in the way the story came together.

"I was in no rush to put Batman in the movie," Snyder said, "but on the other...

20 Utterly Sexy British Actors
It's hard to deny it - there's something really attractive about a British accent. We don't know if it's the inflection or the vocabulary (Collywobbles? Bollocks? Gobsmacked?), but whatever it is, it's hot.

Alexander Pettyfer was born in Hertfordshire, England, and has appeared in films including "Alex Rider: Operation Stormbreaker," "Magic Mike," "I Am Number 4" and "Beastly." He started out as a model, working for brands such as Gap and Burberry.

It was once rumored that the star famously had the phrase "Thank You" tattooed above his crotch, but it's actually just his name. He has dated...

Batman and Superman
Man of Steel director Zack Snyder confirmed on Saturday that Superman and Batman will share the screen together in 2015.

The Batman character will presumably be slightly different than Christian Bale's version, as the star won't be reprising the character from Christopher Nolan's highly successful "Dark Knight" trilogy.

Kaley Cuoco and Superman Henry Cavill
Henry Cavill and Kaley Cuoco quickly found out they weren't meant to be, breaking up a mere two weeks after they went public with their relationship.

It's unknown how long the Big Bang Theory and Man of Steel stars have been dating behind the scenes, but it’s a moot point now.

A source tells E! Online it's over after a handful of dates. It's the second time the two have gone through break ups this year: Cavill broke up with Gina Carano and Cuoco split from Pepper bassist Bret Bollinger.

The two certainly appeared to be fans of one another - Cavill had previously confessed he was a fan of...

The comic book, published in June 1938, was found in the wall of a home in Elbow Lake, Minnesota, by contractor David Gonzalez, who discovered it among a bunch of old newspapers being used as insulation in one of the building's walls.

Gonzalez came upon the comic while tearing down one of the walls during a renovation project in the home, which he and wife Deanna bought for $10,100.

Review: 'Man Of Steel' Only Holds Interest In Spurts

June 13th, 2013 9:10am EDT
Man of Steel
Potential is usually a good start.  When he first came on the scene, Zach Snyder seemed to have all the makings of a director who would achieve greatness.  Problem is that almost every outing he’s helmed has shown that the eye candy director has a knack for creating killer sequences, but falls short on the full-length feature film scale.  In "Dawn of the Dead" the first ten minutes all but eclipse the rest of the film, "300" features battle sequences that squander the dull scenes of happenings at home, "Watchmen" begins with powerful picture-esk potential the film can’t live up to and even ...

Henry Cavill Says Superman Costume Fit Like An 'Alien Body Glove,' Limited Bathroom Breaks

June 12th, 2013 12:08pm EDT
Henry Cavill endured "brutal" days while filming Man of Steel on location in Vancouver because of his skin-tight Superman costume.

The actor told the New York Post that because of the time involved in getting into the outfit, which clung to him like an "alien body glove," his bathroom breaks were limited and he had to drastically reduce the amount of any liquids he drank.

"It's quite a tight suit," he says. "Going to the lavatory wasn't the easiest thing. It would take some time to get in and out, I'd have to wait. [While filming] in Chicago, I could drink as much as I wanted because I'd ...

June 11th, 2013 9:30pm EDT
Henry Cavill as Superman
Henry Cavill is the newest actor to play Superman in Man of Steel, and he looks the part. Cavill got his Superman body the old fashioned way, by working out hard, and he explained what helped him push through when mere mortal men would call it a day.

“When you feel that you can't push any harder or you can't lift any more weight, you think, ‘Well, hold on a second. I've got to look like Superman. There's a whole bunch of people out there who are relying on me to be that super hero.'” Cavill said. “So it really helped to push those extra few reps and just become that character.”
