American actor Francis Capra was born on April 22, 1983, in New York City, but was raised in the Bronx. He comes from a line of famous Hollywood personalities, most of them directors. Robert De Niro and Chazz Palminteri discovered him when he landed the role as Calogero at age 9 for the 1993 film "A Bronx Tale." His other movie credits include roles in "Kazaam," "A Simple Wish" and "Crank," but he is most known for his role as Eli 'Weevil' Navarro on the television series "Veronica Mars." On a sad note, his father Frank Capra III was killed in a shootout in 2003; in tribute Francis has a tattoo of him along with over 17 others.
