Famke Janssen On 'Jack Of The Red Hearts,' Clive Barker And The Future Of X-Men

2/24/2016 12:15pm EST
Interview: Fabulous Famke Janssen On 'Jack Of The Red Hearts,' C
If quality acting chops and timeless beauty had a face it would be that of the fabulous Famke Janssen. A talented and stunning on-screen siren, Janssen has made a long career out of playing both serious and sexy characters that lovingly linger and she shows no signs of stopping. Her latest sees the ample actress taking on the inspired role of an overworked mom of an autistic daughter who hires a caregiver that might not be all she seems in the new drama "Jack of the Red Hearts." The film, which co-stars AnnaSophia Robb and Scott Cohen, not only features a fine turn by Janssen, but also sp...

8/5/2015 10:07am EDT
Pierce Brosnan
Pierce Brosnan was stopped by airport officials in Vermont over the weekend after he tried to take a 10-inch hunting knife on board a plane.

A Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agent stopped the former James Bond star after authorites noticed he had a knife in his carry-on luggage. It's unclear whether Brosnan was aware that the weapon was in his bag or purposely tried to bring it on board.

According to TSA rules, sharp objects including knives, scissors and box cutters that are longer than four inches are not allowed in carry-on luggage.

The actor was given the option of eith...

Pierce Brosnan, Aaron Paul Plus Nick Hornby Equals Success With 'A Long Way Down'

9/9/2014 12:05pm EDT
A Long Way Down
As far as novel-to-film adaptations go, the 2000 translation of Nick Hornby's High Fidelity set the bar. Pairing the reliably witty John Cusack and a yet to explode into stardom Jack Black with Hornby's smart, culturally literate observations about life, love and middle age, it was a thing of beauty.

So in 2014, here comes the third Hornby-based movie: A Long Way Down, boasting an attention-getting foursome including recent Emmy winner Aaron Paul and former James Bond Pierce Brosnan, and tackling harder subjects like attempted suicide and raising children with disabilities. Could it captur...

Pierce Bronsan Plays 'GoldenEye' With Superfan Jimmy Fallon
Jimmy Fallon is a huge fan of James Bond. On Tuesday night he interviewed Pierce Brosnan and told him how much he loved the classic Nintendo 64 videogame "GoldenEye 007."

"This is one of the best video games of all time," Fallon declared.

"It was extremely popular," Brosnan agreed. "I was no good at it. I played it once and shot myself in the foot."

Fallon said it was a childhood dream to play the video game with Bronsan, who agreed.

"This is fantastic. Oh, my gosh," Fallon gushed. "I'm very excited about this. You don't understand."

We're not going to tell you who won, but Fallon,...

Pierce Brosnan
Master thespian Pierce Brosnan never thought he'd ever have the need to show off his fire eating skills professionally until he was invited to appear on The Muppet Show.

The former James Bond studied the circus art at theatre school in his youth just because he thought the class would help him meet attractive women and he was thrilled when TV bosses suggested he show off his party trick during one of the Muppets' final TV variety shows.

He says, "I did The Muppets... after I did the first James Bond movie, and they said, 'We'd like you to be on the show. Do you sing or dance?' and I sai...

3/31/2013 5:07pm EDT
Pierce Brosnan
Pierce Brosnan recalled the devastation of losing his first wife for a new film in which he plays a man who falls in love with a cancer patient.

Brosnan has now taken on a new film role playing a wealthy widower who falls for a hairdresser suffering from cancer, and the Irish actor admits the story in Love Is All You Need was close to reality for him.

He tells Britain's Mail on Sunday, "I w...

Silver Foxes: Sexy Grey & White Haired Celebrities

Helen Mirren
Most people in Hollywood don't like to reveal their true age, but there are exceptions. Helen Mirren, who fluxuates between white and white/blonde hair, proudly wears her true color on screen and off.

Last year the actress, 67, was named the best body in show business by members of British gym chain LA Fitness. Apparently, age (and hair color) doesn't matter.

Some younger stars are also embracing the white/grey trend. Singers P!nk, Adam Lambert and Ellie Goulding have all experimented with the pigment-free shade.

George Clooney is often spotted with whisps of grey unless a film role call...

Bruce Banner - Eric Bana/Edward Norton/Mark Ruffalo: Bana signed for three Hulk films, but was replaced by super fan Norton when Marvel re-acquired the rights. Norton re-wrote The Incredible Hulk and starred in a hit, but was unable to come to a deal when a role in The Avengers was available. Ruffalo filled in, and was given positive reviews.

Tyler Perry And Other Famous Movie Studio Fires

Tyler Perry
A fire last night at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta nearly threatened to put Madea out of commission. Luckily, the Atlanta police arrived in time to stop the blaze with only some damage to backlot facades - Perry can get back in his dress as soon he wants. However, this reminds us of other fires that damaged legendary Hollywood studios.

2008 saw Universal Studios' worst fire, taking 12 hours to put out and damaging many of the classic backlots (including Courthouse Square from Back to the Future) and the original King Kong ride. Reconstruction included the new King Kong 360 attraction and ...

Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies - 'Drive,' 'I Don't Know How She Does It,' & More

9/12/2011 10:00am EDT
Faithful readers, I apologize that we didn’t have a Trailer Talk column last week. I just moved into a wonderful new apartment and got pretty wrapped up in the packing/unpacking process. Now that I’m settled though, we’re back to business as usual.

I watched Steven Soderbergh’s “Contagion” last week, which I really enjoyed. It’s an infectious whodunit with fantastic casting, eerie electronic music that effectively builds tension, and solid character development. My Grade: A

Arriving in theaters this week are the Ryan Gosling crime thriller “Drive,” the Sarah Jessica Parker dramedy “...

Harry Potter
Last week I took a break from the theater while I was on vacation, so I didn’t catch anything new. However I did watch the Nick Cassavetes crime drama “Alpha Dog.”

“Alpha Dog” squanders a talented cast of young actors including Anton Yelchin, Justin Timberlake, Emile Hirsch, Olivia Wilde, and Ben Foster with poorly developed character relationships and atrociously written dialogue.

Cassavetes throws in lots of curses to make the young punks seem like hard asses, but instead it makes them seem like ridiculous caricatures of the supposed real life people they’re based on. The only believ...

Rene Russo has revealed all about her two great movie love scenes, insisting Michael Keaton "broke the ice" with a joke and Pierce Brosnan was "the perfect gentleman."

The stunning star has 'bedded' a number of leading men on the big screen, but she'll always remember sex scenes in "One Good Cop" and "The Thomas Crown Affair," thanks mainly to her co-stars.

Russo admits she was terrified before she climbed on top of Keaton for her first ever love scene, recalling, "I'm thinking, 'I don't know how to do this...Do I just go for it, like full on...?' I get under the covers and I get on top o...

Pierce Brosnan To Return To TV With New Series

11/22/2010 12:30pm EST
Typically, James Bond movies end with: "James Bond will return."

And he has. Or Pierce Brosnan has, anyway.

For the first time in 25 years, the former 007 will star in a new television series, which remains untitled for now. It comes to us from former "ER" writer Jack Orman.

The show will be a drama, and Brosnan will reportedly play a private investigator who lives in Los Angeles.

The last time Brosnan starred on a TV series was in 1982, when "Remington Steele" premiered.

While Brosnan will produce the show, he will unlikely play the lead role in order to juggle other projects.

8/9/2010 11:00am EDT
Pierce Brosnan
Pierce Brosnan was relieved to give up his 007 status following his stint as James Bond - after realizing he had "lost his way" while playing the iconic superspy.

The Irish actor was devastated after he was replaced by Daniel Craig as the suave secret agent and admits it took several years to regain his self-belief. But now he's convinced his dismissal was for the best.

He says, "I felt very shackled by Bond and didn't want to rock the boat. You get tangled up in your own ego of how you're perceived. You can lose your way... You can be a leading man for so long and it's wonderful but t...
