Fashion Fails: Rihanna, Adrien Brody, Solange Knowles, More

3/2/2014 1:03pm EST
It's Fashion Fail Time! That means we take a break from letting you know how good all of your favorite stars look to show the other side of fashion: the fails!

Rihanna is covering up for once, and in a very odd way. She wore this black outfit that had a thick fur bar across her chest. Pretty much the opposite of what she wore to the Crazy Horse Club.

Adrien Brody was a red beacon in the darkness in this shiny three-piece suit. The reflective satin finish was just too much for us.

Solange Knowles is a constant fashion offender, and this white jumper splashed with blue has her lock...

Wes Anderson is set to kick off the 64th Berlin International Film Festival on February 6, 2014 with the world premiere of his new film, Grand Budapest Hotel.

The film, Anderson's eighth as director, stars Ralph Fiennes as the titular hotel's concierge befriends a young lobby boy (newcomer Tony Revolori) and takes him under his wing as his unofficial apprentice.

The film was shot on location in Germany, making it the perfect place for it to premiere, as many had assumed it would bow at next year's Cannes Film Festival.

Two of Anderson's previous films, "The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou...

Adrien Brody Still Waiting To Go On 'Date' With Gerard Butler

3/22/2012 8:47am EDT
Adrien Brody
Adrien Brody is still waiting to take tea with Gerard Butler after winning the "date" at a charity auction.

Brody bid $15,000 for the odd item last year at a fundraiser to build a school in Haiti - and he's still waiting for a call from the 300 star.

Brody says, "I attended a charity function for Artists for Peace & Justice and one of the things they were auctioning off was tea with Gerry Butler, which I thought was really interesting, so I thought, 'Why not?' I had the winning bid and I've yet to have tea with Gerry Butler. He has not fulfilled his obligation... I paid thousands and thou...

Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies
I can’t believe it took me so long to finally watch 2009’s “Pirate Radio.” Set in the 60s, this period piece superbly captures the spirit, styles, and music of the era. The film tells a compelling story about a group of rebels challenging the system, who are portrayed by a fantastic cast of actors. It’s one of the few movies I’ve watched in recent months, that I had zero complaints about. My Grade: A+

Comedies are in abundance at the box office this week with the 1980s inspired action comedy “21 Jump Street,” the Will Ferrell western comedy “Casa de mi Padre,” the Jason Segel familial...

Review: 'Midnight In Paris' 'Two Jews On Film' Only One Feels The Magic In This Fantasy Comedy (Video)

5/18/2011 2:17pm EDT
Midnight In Paris
I know critics are supposed to be objective (if that's even possible) but in the case of Woody Allen's new film, 'Midnight In Paris' it's going to be really hard. I thought it was one of the most beautiful, original, magical and romantic films I've seen in a very long time. It completely grabbed my heart.

The film opens with images of Paris...beautiful, moving images. The lights of the city, the empty streets, the gardens, museums, cafes, flea markets, parks and cathedrals. The montage goes on for quite a while...No actors...just visuals of this magnificent city....

And then we meet ...

Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies - 'Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,' & 'Midnight in Paris'

Pirates of the Caribbean
I still have not had the opportunity to see the much talked about “Thor,” which seems to be receiving mixed reviews from everyone I know. Some people I’ve spoken to have loved it, while others have despised it, so I will have to see it for myself soon.

Last week though, I checked out the indie drama “Hesher” starring Rainn Wilson, Natalie Portman, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt which I loved. It’s definitely not your typical story of recovery from grief, mainly because of the character Hesher, played by Gordon Levitt. The squatter invites himself into the home of Paul (Wilson) and his son TJ ...

2/18/2011 5:23pm EST
Juliette Binoche
Some years, certain nominees seem to be locks to win Oscars. Yet almost every year, there is some sort of major upset at the Academy Awards. Some years there are none, but other years there are multiple. What will this year have in store? At this point, it's anybody's guess.

Looking back at the 10 most surprising wins of the last 15 years, can we notice any patterns? Here they are, in chronological order.

Celebrities Who Lost A Lot Weight For Their Roles

11/30/2010 4:00pm EST
The Black Swan
Some actors and actresses are completely dedicated to their craft - just look at Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis, who both shed some serious weight for their roles as rival ballerinas in Black Swan. However, they are just a few of many stars that lost pounds to perfect their characters.

Mila Kunis dropped to 95 pounds, and Natalie Portman was beginning to scare Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky with her thin looks. Mila said at the time, "I could see why this industry is so f**ked up, because at 95 pounds, I would literally look at myself in the mirror and I was like, 'Oh my God!"

Will Adrien Brody Be Eaten Alive in 'Predators'?

7/8/2010 9:49am EDT
Predators - Adrien Brody
When people think of action movie stars, one of the last names that comes to mind is Adrien Brody, Academy Award-winner for “The Pianist” and hip-hop enthusiast. After this summer though, that perception or lack of confidence may change. On July 9 Brody will appear in “Predators,” the new chapter in the “Predator” franchise, as Royce the leader of a band of humans who find themselves on the Predators’ home planet.

Brody has had an incredibly diverse career as an actor and has worked with such filmmakers as Roman Polanski, M. Night Shyamalan, Wes Anderson and Peter Jackson. Clearly, Brody c...

Adrien Brody Attempts To Be An Action Star In 'Predators'

7/6/2010 12:03pm EDT
Adrian Brody
When you think action star, does Adrien Brody come to mind? Not really. But that's the role he's tackling in the Robert Rodriguez film "Predators," which opens in theaters on Friday, July 9. Also on board: Topher Grace (huh?), Laurence Fishburne and Danny Trejo.

Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in the original movie as the leader of a special forces unit. And he was bad ass. The film was an international box office hit and had a sequel starring Danny Glover. In 2004, "Aliens vs. Predator" came out and made nearly $200 million dollars worldwide.

The plot of the latest incarnation involves a h...

Speaking at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, Stalberg tells WENN, "He was smoking this fake weed you can buy from High Times magazine called Fake Budz. It looks and burns like weed and it's totally organic so if the actors don't smoke ...

Adrien Brody On His Woody Allen Cameo

6/4/2010 9:00am EDT
Adrien Brody
Adrien Brody is going to be spending his summer working with Woody Allen. He’s joined the cast of Allen’s Midnight in Paris with Rachel McAdams, Marion Cotillard, Kathy Bates and Owen Wilson. It’s just a small part though.

“It’s a cameo,” Brody said. “It’ll be a lot of fun and it will be a chance to reunite with Owen. Not bad. Pretty good way to spend the summer. It’s not the whole summer. I wish it was the whole summer.”

The Oscar winning Brody didn’t have to audition per se, but he still had to impress Allen. It wasn’t just a cold offer. “No, I wish things were that easy. No, we met, to...

Adrien Brody's Sex Scene Turned Hollywood Off 'Splice'

6/3/2010 8:59pm EDT
Canadian moviemaker Vincenzo Natali had to seek French help to fund his new horror film "Splice," because Hollywood studio bosses were turned off by a sex scene between Adrien Brody and a creature his character had created.

The director admits he struggled to find interest among potential U.S. studio bosses - because no one wanted to watch Brody get intimate with a half-woman, half-creature, played by French actress Delphine Chaneac.

Natali says, "That scene was the reason I wanted to make the film and that's why it's such a miracle this film exists.

"No studio wanted to make it, because...

Horror Movie 'Splice' Was Inspired By Real Science

6/3/2010 9:34am EDT
This week’s sci-fi horror film Splice shows what can go wrong when scientists mess with DNA to create Dren (Delphine Chaneac), a hybrid of many species. It was inspired by actual science, and it comes out just weeks after Craig Venter unveiled his synthetic organism.

“It started when I saw a photo of this thing called The Vacanti Mouse, which you might recall is a mouse that appeared to have a human ear growing out of its back,” said writer/director Vincenzo Natali. “It was such a shocking image. It wasn’t a genetic experiment actually but it looked like one and I just intuitively felt som...

The movie star reveals his ex-girlfriend talked him into buying goats as pets when he bought a New York state farm, but he was conned into buying two males when he asked for females.

And Brody quickly realized that one of the goats was gay - and the other was terrified.

He explains, "The more well-endowed goat took a liking to the other one and I swear it was traumatic. There was a lot of crying and goat noises and I felt incredibly guilty and I didn't know what to do. I had homosexual goats."

The actor is assembling the old building on his New York state farm.

He says, "I had such an intimate scene and that's where the scene takes place - in the barn, and I wanted to keep the memory.

"They (crew) were gonna dismantle it and I didn't know what was gonna happen. What they did was they found this beautiful early 19th century barn in northern Canada, they dismantled it, they reassembled it in a soundstage... and they didn't know what ...

A Look At The 'Predator' Franchise

4/20/2010 11:10am EDT
Predators 2010
There are few science fiction horror franchises as popular and well known as the Predator series. It came out only a year after James Cameron's equally well received series Aliens began, and the two franchises inspired dozens of films, TV shows, comic books, and horror novels afterward. Man vs. the wild became man vs. an alien creature, and the predator specifically is one of the most terrifying monsters to ever cross the big screen. Intelligent, powerful, and stealthy, the Predator hunts down humans or aliens alike and killing them with a single minded intensity. decided to t...

Adrien Brody & Robert Rodriguez Bring 'Predators' Sneak Peek To SXSW (Video)

3/15/2010 10:29am EDT
Predators 2010 sneak peak
Adrien Brody, the unlikely star of the long-awaited monster sequel Predators, came to Austin, TX for the South by Southwest (SXSW) film festival. Austin filmmaker Robert Rodriguez, who produced the film, showed some footage to the film festival fans, and Brody showed up to meet the press.

As surprising as it may be to imagine the thin, lanky actor fighting seven foot tall rasta predators, it might also be a shock that the Oscar-winning star of The Pianist was a die hard Preadtor fan. “When Predator came out in ’88, I was a freshman in high school,” Brody said. “I was with my boys sneaking ...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - '2012,' 'Pirate Radio' & More

11/9/2009 9:52am EST
At some point this week I hope to catch the wacky comedy "The Men Who Stare at Goats." While I have read some bad reviews of the film, I believe my tendency to disagree with the mainstream, could be a wild card for my own appraisal of the movie.

I'm having difficulty believing the collection of George Clooney, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges could contribute to a horrific film considering I how much appreciate their abilities on screen.

Roland Emmerich destroys the world yet another time this week with his apocalyptic tale "2012." The quirky animation of Wes Anders...
