As the decade reaches its conclusion, you'll undoubtedly come across many lists. Lists that purport to tell you the best, the top, the cream of the decade as they relate to pop culture. You're also certain to come across many lists that claim to rank the "greatest" of the ten year period from 2000-2009. But what does that really mean?

After six long years, we may finally discover the ultimate truth. Today, the second "X-Files" movie hits theaters a decade after the first movie and six years after the series went off the air. All that time apart from Mulder and Scully has inevitably left fans feeling disconnected from the characters and casual viewers forgetting the show altogether.

Comics To Pay Tribute To Peter Boyle

Comedians including Ray Romano, Martin Short and Jeff Garlin will pay tribute to late actor Peter Boyle at a fundraising event next month. Boyle, who played Romano's father in TV show Everybody Loves Raymond, died in 2006 after a battle with bone marrow cancer.

"Celebrating Peter Boyle: An Evening Of Comedy With Family And Friends" takes place at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre & Club in Los Angeles on November 10 and will also feature funnymen Fred Willard and Richard Lewis.

All proceeds from the event will go to the International Myelome Foundation's Peter Boyle Memorial Fund.

Stars Turn Out For Peter Boyle's Memorial

Chevy Chase, Alan Alda and Sopranos stars Lorraine Bracco and Steven Van Zandt were among the 250 mourners who celebrated the life of actor Peter Boyle at a memorial service in New York Monday. The long list of celebrities at the Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel service also included the cast of Boyle's TV sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond.

Folk singer Judy Collins and trumpeter Chris Botti performed at the moving ceremony. Boyle died last week after a long battle with heart disease and cancer.

Ray Romano is partly relieved his pal and Everybody Loves Raymond castmate Peter Boyle died on Tuesday because the actor was in severe pain in the weeks leading up to his death. Boyle, 71, lost his battle with cancer and heart disease late on Tuesday night and Romano was among the first people to get a call from his wife about the star's passing.

The comic admits the news was shocking at first, but he was glad his friend was in no more pain.

Emmy Award-winning actor Peter Boyle died at the New York Presbyterian Hospital last night. He was 71. Boyle, best known in recent years for playing Frank Barone in Everybody Loves Raymond, had been suffering from multiple myeloma - a form of cancer - and heart disease.

Boyle was a versatile and talented actor, excelling in both comedy and dramatic roles. He famously played it straight as Robert Redford's campaign manager in 1972 film The Candidate before switching to farce by playing the monster in Mel Brooks horror spoof Young Frankenstein two years later.
