Forgotten Friday Flick - 'What's Up, Doc?'

March 2nd, 2012 12:45pm EST
What's Up Doc photo
With Hangover helmer Todd Phillips producing the party comedy "Project X" that hits screens today, it seemed right to go back to a past flick that guarantees its own gut-busting belly laughs...welcome to Forgotten Friday Flick! We go way back to 1972 to one of my favorite comedies of all time. A zany and wacky laugh-a-minute movie complete with mistaken identity, slapstick humor and double, no make that triple entendre galore. And since every character within the world has such a unique style, appeal and even memorable lines were gonna go about this examination a tad differently - storyb...

Corman’s story is one of an outsider deciding to embrace going against the grain. After working on an early Fox picture titled ...

The Movie Rut: Introduction

June 12th, 2010 9:30am EDT
Groundhog-Day
I’ve always wanted to be the guy who has seen everything. The type of person that waltzes into a video store (or logs into Netflix, if we’re talking about the real world) and comes out with an armful of movies he or she has never seen. Like spinning a globe and venturing off to wherever your finger may land, watching a new movie is an adventure that broadens horizons and strengthens character. Of course, going to a random place on the planet also runs a pretty high risk of landing in the middle of a desert or in some godforsaken war torn hellhole.

As much as I’d like to be the next Peter B...
