Luc Besson rebooting The Transporter for prequel series

February 9th, 2014 12:27pm EST
Luv Besson
French director Luc Besson is set to reboot his hit action franchise The Transporter for a new series of prequels - without leading man Jason Statham.

Besson, who wrote and produced the first film in 2002 and its two follow-ups in 2005 and 2008, has revealed he is working on The Transporter 4, which will explore the origin story of Statham's driver-for-hire character Frank Martin and will therefore feature a younger actor in the Brit's place.

If the fourth movie is successful, the filmmaker plans on turning it into another trilogy.

Review: Sci-Fi Thriller 'Lockout' Falls To Earth (Video)

April 10th, 2012 1:00pm EDT
The year is 2079 and in this so-called Sci-Fi futuristic thriller, entitled 'Lockout', 500 of the most violent criminals are kept in a state of suspended animation on a space station orbiting above earth. This high tech penitentiary is known as MS One.

I say so-called, because the sleeping prisoners are the only aspect of this film that can be deemed 'futuristic' or even, 'Sci-Fi.'

The film was written (along with Luc Besson) and directed by James Mather and Stephen St. Leger, who I guess are famous for a 15 minute short called 'Prey Alone.'

Guy Pearce plays Agent Snow, who has been se...

Trailer Talk: This Week In Movies - 'The Cabin In The Woods,' 'Three Stooges' & More

April 9th, 2012 1:00pm EDT
Trailer Talk: This Week in Movies
My high hopes for the fourth “American Pie” movie were dashed after I saw “American Reunion.” There was plenty of 90s nostalgia and some of the trademark humor that you love from the franchise, but on the whole the film was pretty depressing. For more of my thoughts, check out the full review.

Dropping in at the box office this week are the Joss Whedon penned horror film “The Cabin in the Woods,” the modern-day take on a classic comedy trio in “The Three Stooges,” the action packed sci-fi movie “Lockout,” the African American kidnapping thriller “Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day,” ...

That’ right fans, the five-star "Pulp Fiction" is finally hitting Blu-ray Oct. 4 from Lionsgate (check out the review below!) and we thought we’d celebrate it’s release with some one-on-one interview time with the fabulous Trudy 'sixteen piercings all done with a needle' gal herself Rosanna Arquette. We chatted with the lovely Rosanna about all things Pulp includin...

Natalie Portman: The Best Actress Of Her Generation?

October 1st, 2010 10:10am EDT

Since her intense breakout role in 1994’s “The Professional,” Natalie Portman has been one of the most respected and versatile actors working in Hollywood. Her filmography spans over 15 years but is as impressive and solid as Audrey Hepburn’s or Meryl Streep’s, two actresses to whom she has rightfully been compared.

It makes sense that Portman has become one of the most talented performers in Hollywood considering the amazing list of directors with whom she’s worked:

Luc Besson (“The Professional”)

Michael Mann (“Heat”)

Ted Demme (“Beautiful Girls”)

Woody Allen (“Everyone Says I Love Y...

Billboards promoting actress Maggie Q's new TV show Nikita are causing a controversy across America - because they're too sexy and too fiery.

Officials at top Los Angeles shopping center The Grove passed on an image of Q wearing a leather outfit. Malls in Chicago, Illinois and New York also passed on the image, according to Variety. Some outlets have now erected a repla...
